Patterns, or gobos, are widely used by designers in theatre, film, photography and television to create atmosphere, project scenery, and generally enhance the visual impact of their lighting.

Conceived by some of the world's leading lighting designers, the Rosco range presently includes hundreds of standard steel gobo designs.

To insure design integrity the patterns are etched using a precise double-sided process on stainless steel. The result is durable, high quality patterns which will withstand the extreme heat at the gate of ellipsoidal spotlights.

Rosco steel gobos are round to allow for rotation in the gate when aligning the projected image.

The standard "B" size is suitable for most fixtures with a 6" lens when used with a Rosco Pattern Holder or the holders of other manufacturers.

Trimming of patterns, where necessary, can be easily accomplished with a pair of scissors.

Q: 5. Can these be used with studio flash? I have Bowens fit flash units

A: While this particular gobo size would not work with a strobe, you can purchase the Bowens Universal Spotlite Attachment B&H # BOUSA and the size M version of the gobo, B&H# RO77139M to project the pattern on your Bowens strobe head. Please see the images below.

A: They attach to a Gobo holder that fits into the assembly

A: No, the Rosco SimpleSpin Dual Gobo Rotator is not designed for use with light fixtures that use the Bowens S-mount connector for light modifier attachment. The Rosco SimpleSpin Dual Gobo Rotator is only compatible for use with select light fixtures. The SimpleSpin is compatible with the ETC Source Four, the ETC S4 Zoom, the Selecon Pacific, the Selecon Pacific Zoom, and the Altman Shakespeare lights.

A: Yes, this is compatible with the Bowens Monospot.

[0.05 lb] It takes the bland white light from my Source IV and creates a window! Perfect! It's pretty hot after sitting in there for a while though, so be careful! 5

[Tudor] When I purchased this Gobo I wasn't 100% sure from the picture that I was going to be using this one as much as I have. Its pattern is very symmetrical which allows it to be used in a variety of situations. I usually cut the sides of the pattern and just use the center as a background in interviews and to liven up the background of any scene that just needs some soft hits. 5

[Tudor] I use the gobo as a background image. I like the contrast in the image that it projects. You have to be careful with it, since it is thin and could catch on the holder when removing it from the gobo holder. 5
