The Polsen PL-5 Mini Omnidirectional Lavalier Micis a replacement microphone for Polsen's ULW-16 wireless system. It is also compatible with other wireless transmitters with a standard 3.5mm microphone input, or devices that have a 3.5mm input with plug-in power.

Featuring an omnidirectional polar pattern, the PL-5 is optimized to accurately capture speech. It provides clear and natural sound ideal for ENG, EFP, and DSLR video applications. Because omnidirectional microphones are less susceptible to wind noise and vocal plosives (pops) than cardioid microphones, the PL-5 is suitable for indoor or outdoor use.

The miniature 0.14" head diameter offers a variety of options for discreet microphone placement, allowing the PL-5 to be easily concealed on wardrobe or costumes without sacrificing sound quality. The PL-5 comes packaged with a tie clip for securing the mic to the talent's clothing, as well as a windscreen for further reducing wind noise and vocal plosives.

A: I do not have a Zoom H1, but the Zoom states it has 3.5mm mic jack, and this mic has a 3.5mm plug that I have used on a Canon HG21 camcorder, Nikon D7100, and a Samsung Galaxy S4, so I bet it will work on the Zoom recorder as well.

[0.045 lb] Working great. I'm using it with my Senal AWS-24G 2-Person Wireless Mic System and I'm having zero issues. Sound quality is clean/good, and design is good. I love that the microphone head is tiny, it makes the mic very discreet. That is so much more visually pleasing than a big fat lav mic on someone shirt. It also makes it much easier to hide under a shirt or collar if you do not want the mic to be seen. I haven't noticed any issue with clothes noise from the mic either. Nor have I noticed any sound noise from the cable itself from rubbing. Windscreen is not fancy, but it works like it should. The clip is good too. I like the fact that the clip that holds the mic itself swivels so you can rotate the mic placement for the left or right easily. Cable length is fine. The build quality is good, especially at this price point. I'm happy with this lav mic, it is working great for me. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review] 5

[0.045 lb] I really am surprised at how good this mic performs. I bought one for a Canon Vixia HF R80 to use while driving doing vlogging videos. It worked so well that I ordered two more and two Rode female XLR to female 3.5mm adapters to use in studio on my professional shoots. No more spending $300 on Sony hard wired Lav mics. Just keep some spare batteries on hand. 5

[Mono] I bought this to accompany my Zoom H1 recorder. I spent almost as much on the mic as the recorder and am happy I did. I think it brings up the quality of the audio exponentially. The mic is small and easy to hide. 5

[0.045 lb] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDSuXR3_E2U Gave it five stars simply because it is essentially just like the one I bought 14 years ago. But after 14 years of regular and reliable usage, it met with an unfortunate accident through no fault of its own. So I was very glad to be able to replace it. It's a simple, no-frills powered microphone - which is exactly why I like it. Tiny and unobtrusive enough to attach to my violin, cello and woodwind instruments...and the sound seems entirely true to the musician using it (me). By the way and with respect to references that state that this mic does not replicate sound correctly: One thing I noticed when using it with its 1/4 adapter (that was included, never hurts to have spares) is that the adapter-plug itself needs to be rather forcibly attached to the mic's 1/8 plug. But if the adapter-plug is only partially snapped on, it will definitely cause unpleasant static. Thus one needs to make a point of forcefully snapping the adapter all the way on. But that extra-tight fit is perfect in terms of ensuring a solid, static-free contact. Hoping to get another 14 years out of this one. Swing on!
