A: Yes. You may slide the Really Right Stuff L-Plate for Nikon Z8 with Battery Grip away from the camera body so there is space between the vertical riser and the side of the camera. By doing so, you would have room between the camera and the L-Plate for tether cables when using the Really Right Stuff L-Plate for Nikon Z8 with Battery Grip in the vertical (portrait) orientation.

Q: 7. Hi there. Are the d-taps 'live' whilst the camera is turned off? For example if I have a viewfinder attached to the D-Tap, and I turn the camera off, will the VF still run the battery dead? Or if the camera is switched off, are the ports 'dead' as well? Cheers

A: the power outs (D-taps) are independent of the camera and will always be on as long as there is a battery on the plate.

Q: 8. What does it mean when the light on the right side of the mount adapter near the usb out port turns red? Too many peripherals??

A: The RED light on the Tilta Battery Plate for Sony FX6 means low voltage.

Q: 9. Anyone know if there is a version of this with a receiver instead at a 90 degree angle as well? Looking for something with similar load capacity and distance from the base.

A: I do not believe there is an option for a baby plate that is angled with a 5/8-inch receiver. One options is to use a 5/8 female to 5/8 female adapter like one of these, https://bhpho.to/3vmtsD9 .

This is great I was able to eliminate a light stand and now have the light hanging on the wall, which is great for my studio. The less on the floor the easier it is to work with kids in a studio. 5

I wish I had purchased this sooner. No more need for a bajillion, yes, a bajillion, AA batteries. I now have one battery for the Litepanel and one battery for my camera-- I only have to charge them at night and then I am ready to roll the entire next day. 5

This products saves me money because the Lite Panel MicroPro uses lithium batteries. They only last a few hours. So, using this adapter plate saves money in the long run. 5

This is a great option to AA batteries. Much easier to swap out batteries using this plate than using AA batteries. Use the AA batteries for emergency power. 5

I heard about this in Christopher Grey's book. My studio has open beams and I've attached several of these to the rafters. Terrific, extremely durable. As a dog photographer, anything that will keep stuff off the floor is great!! At one time I had an avenger stand with a long boom and a softbox attached to the end. During the shoot, I freaked out, What was I thinking, I could end up with a dead, electrocuted dog!!! Glad I stumbled on these. 5

Using an on-camera Litepanels light without a camera battery adapter plate is just a waste of AA batteries and your precious time in my opinion. The adapter fits easily on the litepanel and reduces bulk and worry. Camera batteries last so much longer and gives me one less thing to have to carry around. 5
