Canon's firmware could potentially lock out a battery that it can not authenticate as an official product.. This will reduce the functionality or result in the camera turning off with no warning as you described. Canon does this to prevent their cameras from being damaged by cheap knock off batteries but unfortunately it also affects batteries from reputable companies such as Blueshape. Because of this we can not guarantee that this Blueshape battery will perform any better or worse than the 3rd party battery that you have already tried. if you want the best results we recommend using official Canon Batteries.

I wish I had purchased this sooner. No more need for a bajillion, yes, a bajillion, AA batteries. I now have one battery for the Litepanel and one battery for my camera-- I only have to charge them at night and then I am ready to roll the entire next day. 5

This is a great option to AA batteries. Much easier to swap out batteries using this plate than using AA batteries. Use the AA batteries for emergency power. 5

We use this device to interface between a Panasonic RP-150 and a Black Magic ATEM switcher. It allows connected Panasonic PTZ cameras to receive tally status from the ATEM. It also toggles control of the PTZs such that whichever camera is set to preview is set for control on the RP-150. There are a myriad of additional things this little box can do, and their support is absolutely top notch. 5

Trying to make sure I have enough AA Batteries to run this light was a pain. If it started to fade, then the light was done for the evening for me. However, with this adapter plate, I've been able to just pop in another rechargable battery that I'm already using with my cameras. It is convient, painless, and leaves me worry free. 5

Needless to say, I thought it was a mere camera plate, but when I rubbed it three times before mounting it on my camera--well it was like magic--every shot was perfectly composed, my light felt magic-hourish. Using an on-camera Litepanels light without a camera battery adapter plate is just a waste of AA batteries and your precious time in my opinion. The adapter fits easily on the litepanel and reduces bulk and worry. Camera batteries last so much longer and gives me one less thing to have to carry around. 5
