[2' / 0.6 m] I often power cameras and on board monitors from the same v-mount. I have a 4-pin XLR and a P-tap on the V-mount plate (as well as ways to convert to 2 4-pin XLR or 2 p-taps)... ...but often I can't quite reach the monitor from the battery, which for balance (on steadicam, but also for handheld) is often mounted behind the camera. As I get older and more farsighted, I want that monitor even further away from me, and a the v-mount p-tap just isn't long enough anymore, especially with longer cameras, such as Red One's...so I needed to get a longer cable and this does just that. 5
