The EOTech EXPS2 Holographic Sight Red Circle-Dot ReticleEOTech EXPS2 Holographic Sight Red Circle-Dot Reticleis built to conserve valuable rail space while enabling rapid both-eyes-open sighting and tracking in a variety of conditions. This model's red holographic reticle features a 68 MOA outer ring with a 1 MOA center aiming dot for use in close to medium range encounters . To get users on target faster, impact point correction is made at 0.5 MOA per click with a total windage and elevation adjustment range of 40 MOA to compensate for most terrain and conditions. Measuring just 3.8" and weighing a mere 11.2 oz the EXPS2 has an integrated quick-release Picatinny/Weaver rail mount for fast and easy removal and re-installation without having to re-zero, is submersible to 33', and is internally fog-resistant. It runs on a single CR123 battery with a continuous runtime of about 600 hours at a medium setting, with 20 selectable intensity levels for use in most lighting conditions.

Q: 1. How do I program them to work with my Cannon 5d mark 2? It has worked before with this camera, I put in new batteries.

A: I would recommend checking that the transmitter and receiver in the RPS Lighting RS-RT04/C3 Wireless RF Remote Release DIP switches are in the same orientation. The camera doesn't require any settings to fire from a remote.

Q: 2. What is the limit on the weight each arm can handle without drooping?

Q: 4. Dose this remote support for video? What I mean is can I use this for video recording while its on LiveView?

Q: 5. Canon 7D II with 100-400 II and wondering if anyone has used this with a Kirk foot?

A: I have not used this with a Kirk foot. I am quite familiar with Kirk Products and use the Cobra Head for most of my action photography using up to 800mm on a Dx Body. I used the particular handgrip for my Sony Action Cam while skiing. It worked well and felt balanced in my hand.

Q: 6. Does the 5D iii have this?

A: I use one with my 5d iii, and it works just fine. It does not come with the camera.

A: Yes, this is compatible with the Canon 7D Mark II.

Q: 9. will can use with Zacuto Blackmagic Pocket Camera Z-Finder 2x ?

A: You won't be able to attach it to the Z-Finder per se but you can attach it to the camera (where the tripod gets connected to).

Q: 10. Can it be used in the water? like in a pool for filming swimmers

A: This is not designed to be used on wet surfaces. Surfaces should be smooth and dry when the mount is applied. It cannot be expected to function correctly if submerged.

[Unlimited] I was considering the Vortex AMG, as well as the EXPS3, based on cost and Vortex's great warranty. I am very happy I went with the EXPS3 because of the slight tint AMG used on the glass, some people it does not bother, I did not care for it. Also, because the AMG is closed in, the sight picture does not feel as big. Overall, I encourage people to check out some of the differences before committing since they can be a deal breaker, or at least in my case they were. However I do not regret getting EXPS3!

[1 x CR123] Was looking at the Votrex Venom but Was not too thrilled to battle the battery cap like on the Viper I have mounted to my Mark 3 Hunter. The price on the Eotech was really good and the new version which is selling for a lot more was not worth the extra $100 for side mounted buttons and a quick release lever. Plus I ordered in time to get the $399.00 price. Started sighting in at 50 yards and should be done tomorrow and move to 100 yards. Not crazy about the Ruger rail system but should be able to get it centered properly with the bore after a few sessions at the range. Well worth the money than a lower cost red dot only sight.

[1 x CR123] Inside 200 yards it's very hard to beat the speed and reliability of most EOTechs.

[1 x CR123] I got my eotech in the mail from B&H about a week ago. My experience with the eotech exps2-2 has been amazing. The glass clarity is great for the price point and the redicle is very clear with plenty of brightness options for whatever lighting condition you are shooting in. Literally 0 parallax shift with this exps2-2. All in all this sight is well worth the money and I will be buying more of them for other rifle setups!!

[Red] I previously purchased two (2) EXPS3-4 Holographic sights & love them. They are both 4 red dot sights & work great.
Had seen the EXPS2 (green circle-dot) & I believe I like the green a little better than the red. Only negative is the time it takes to receive one from time of order - BUT - in the end -- worth the wait

[Unlimited] I have wanted to try an EOTech for years. Finally bought one and I have to say I like the red circle-dot a lot better than a traditional single dot of the Aimpoints and other single dot sights. It feels like I can transition between targets faster and get the shot on target faster as well.

The only downside is that it takes more energy to power the sight, so the battery does not last as long as in Aimpoints and therefore the sight powers down after either 4 or 8 hours and you have to manually activate it again after that. Can't have your cake and eat it too....at least not at this point in time. I would still rather have the EOTech and replace the battery more often and have to train to activate the sight each time I pick up my AR.
