The Mini-DisplayPort to HDMI Adapter from Prudent Way is equipped with one male Mini-DisplayPort input and one female HDMI output, allowing you to connect any device with a Mini-DisplayPort output to any display with an HDMI input. This adapter is compliant with DPCD (DisplayPort Configuration Data) Revision 1.1 and supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz.

Q: 1. can i use this converter from an hdmi viewfinder to sdi or the hdmi should be coming directly from the camera or the original source and not a loupe through??

A: Normally, you send the video out from the camera to the viewfinder, loop though the viewfinder to a transmitter or another monitor. If your monitor hasn't a loop through, you will have to get a signal splitter. If your camera and monitor have incompatible video connections, you can use the following devices to conveniently convert the signals.

Q: 2. Is there a difference between cheap 50 dollars converters and this one. While being use with deck link mini to feed 10 bit signal to monitor?

A: The Decklink Mini Monitor already has both active HDMI and SDI outputs so it is not necessary to add an additional converter in this case.

Q: 3. Would this support a Nikon D750 with 24-120mm lens?

A: I'm not an expert, but I'm guessing it would. It's very sturdy, and I use mine with a similar sized camera, out in the woods, at all kinds of odd angles. So far the camera has not shifted position once.

Q: 4. Has anyone tried this model with a GoPro to TriCaster?

A: I have used this model on many routers and monitors and never had any issue with the conversion to SDI.

A: yes it will

A: Yes, this will convert 4K SDI to HD on the HDMI out.

A: Yes it will work. I have about 125ft of sdi Cable running to a switcher it works fine.

[0.105 lb] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good quality adapter. The cord is a pretty thick gauge (compared to my Apple one I replaced). Because she so thick, the cable does not bend too easily and thereby prevents from damaging the wires inside, (which was why I replaced my Apple one; the picture kept cutting in and out). Definitely worth it! 5
