Q: 1. When using this lens on an APSC body like Canon 80D, what would be the focal length? 160mm?

A: The Tokina atx-i 100mm f/2.8 FF Macro Lens for Canon EF would act like a 160mm lens on the Canon 80D camera if it is being compared to a 35mm film or full frame camera.

Q: 5. I have a Nikon D7200. Can I use an extension tubes and still keep the aperature at f2.8?

A: While it would depend on the size of the extension tube you use, theoretically, the answer is no. Using an extension tube on any lens will change the effective f-stop of your lens. The lens' f-stop is a ratio of the lens' focal length to aperture diameter. As an example, a lens that has a 100mm focal length with a physical aperture diameter of 25mm would have an f-stop value of f/4 (as 100÷25=4). When using extension tube(s), you increase the distance of the aperture from the sensor/film, so the size of the aperture in relation to the distance from the sensor decreases, which will effectively increase your working f-stop. If you are using auto extension tubes and Nikon's through-the-lens metering, the Nikon camera should be able to meter the loss in light and display the appropriate new effective f-stop. Other brands may handle this differently and adjust the shutter speed (or ISO if using Auto ISO and depending on your camera settings) to adjust for the loss in light. It will depend on the focal length of your lens and the length of the extension tube as to the theoretical amount of light loss when using said extension tube on your camera/lens setup.

Q: 6. Is this lens fully compatible with NIkon D 7000?

Q: 10. 1. Can this lens be used on a Nikon FM2 and FM3A body? 2. Can a extension ring be used together with it?

[T32] From music videos, documentaries, narratives, and many more! When filming solo or on a time crunch this zoom has served me well. It has very sharp beautiful image, this is a good lens to pair with the Tokina Vista primes. As much as I love things being sharp, I've been loving the Tokina black supermist 1/8 to give it subtle softness and adding even a more filmic look to the image.

I like leaving one camera on the MoviPro with a prime and than having another camera handheld with this mk 2. Compared to the mk1, it feels solid, durable, and compact. To have cinema like quality at a small size is so gucci, especially if you need to keep a small foot print! ...and for all you Komodo enthusiast, it looks wonderful on that too!

[T2.9] For Video, the image is sharp but manually focusing is the way to go with this lens.

[Sony E] You can't find a better option for telephoto zoom range in a cine build. It is extremely cost effective and you also get the brand recognition of Tokina Cinema. Some of these newer lens companies do seem to have solid products, but I found a lot more comfort investing in a Tokina Cinema lens than those other options that skew more budget than professional. Couldn't recommend the ATX Cine lenses more.

[82 mm] The Tokina atx-i was recommended to me as an affordable macro lens. I discovered it performs as well as any lens twice the price. Images are sharp and crisp. My wife's gardens have come alive with this lens!

[100mm] Surprised to not see reviews of this lens on B&H. It’s excellent. Nice smooth focus, iris and zoom. Finish and build are you excellent. There’s something special about the footage captured with this lens. Pairs well with the 11-20mm. Full video review on my Nice Lady Productions YouTube channel dropping shortly.

[Full Frame] I've always known this lens to have a cult following, and apparently, for good reason. I've carried it for several years now for landscape photographer. I would never go anywhere without it. The rendition is like nothing I've ever seen before. My all time favorite image was taken with this lens, and it has been surprisingly durable through my travels.

[82 mm] Love this lens, love that's parfocal which comes in handy when filming documentaries. Look from this lens is something special. People seem to pop from the background. Awesome zoom range.

[1:1] This is my second zoom I've purchased from Tokina and I am happy with quality and attention to detail I'm seeing. The overall lense is best with quality in mind, and you can tell the moment you pull it out of the box. The rings all move with the right amount of drag and there's no backlash. The front diameter matches up with the 11-20mm so I can use my clip-on mattebox easily on both. In terms of image quality, it is sharp and clear throughout the whole image circle. Bokeh has a nice shape to it and everyone who has seen images from the lense have only had positive things to say. While the lense is parfocal, their is a little bit of breathing in it. This is the only area I would say is not perfect, but still well within the usable range. The breathing is quite minimal when compared to other zooms in this focal length range and price point. Overall, I'd highly recommend this zoom if you are looking to fill out the longer end of your focal range. It ticks all the boxes for me, and I think that it will be a huge workhorse in the owner/op category.
