The LX-993U Time Code Remote Display from ESE features a 2.3" amber LED digit display housed in an "LX" enclosure. It has rear-mounted BNC connectors that accept either ESE timecode (TV76, TC89, or TC90) or SMPTE/EBU timecode. An RS-232C ASCII timecode (format "0", "1", or "A" at 9600 baud) can be input via a rear-mounted 9-pin connector. An internal DIP switch is used to configure the display for 12 or 24-hour format, or to display the date instead of time-of-day if the incoming signal contains date information. If receiving ESE timecode from a timer, the unit will display minutes and seconds.

A: Should work fine if you have an LANC port on your camera. Works like a charm for my Canon XH-A1.

A: I am afraid not. The Vixia HF S10 does not have a LANC port to work with this controller.

Q: 6. Work with HC-X2?

A: Yes, the VariZoom VZ-STEALTH LANC Zoom Controller will work with the Pansonic HC-X2 Camcorder.

Q: 7. Is HDCP compliant?

A: Yes, it will pass an hdcp compliant signal. Just remember to make sure that everything else in the chain is hdcp.

[Black texture] I am currently using this controller with my HVX200A camera. The connections to this camera are not in the most convenient place if you need to insert or remove a memory stick, but that's no fault of the controller. It would probably attach much better to the DVX100B. It functions as described and I find the zoom rocker to be very smooth and sensitive. The ability to start and stop recording from the Varizoom attached to your tripod arm is worth the cost alone. The iris and focus adjustments work very well. It is fairly well constructed and attaches easily to even the largest of tripod arms. Basically, with this device, once your camera is setup, you can shoot and adjust on the fly using only this controller and never having to touch your camera. Highly recommended. 5

[Black texture] The Stealth Throttle Controller is so useful, it should be standard equipment for any serious user of the DVX100B. The controller firmly mounts to my tripod handle and even to the flat handle of my shoulder mount. The controls are intuitive and perfectly positioned for one thumb operation. Even better, B&H is a great place to buy this from. It arrived in mere days and there was no place on the internet where I could find it at a cheaper price, so why go anywhere else? 5

[Black texture] In short, this controller has changed my game. I shoot sports and dont know how I did it without one. This controller, along with dual pan/tilt arms has made my footage smooth, precise, and flowing. Getting to stand back from the camera and tripod and getting my hands off the onboard zoom rocker is invaluable. INVEST in a controller, and I love this one. 5
