A: this is an extension component for the Magic Carpet Slider system. for example if you had the 3.3ft version you could use this to add an extra 2 feet to your slider by attaching to the rails that come in your kit. This extension track cannot replace the track that came with a magic carpet slider. Also keep in mind that this is designed for the Original Magic Carpet it is not compatible with the Magic Carpet Pro

A: The carbon fiber extensions are exactly 24" and this bag has roughly 6" of additional space end to end. The additional tracks would fit, but a wiser choice and to be on the safer side, is to explore bags that are a little larger overall.

A: The Syrp Soft Carry Bag for 3.3' Medium Magic Carpet Track (B&H# SY00440006) is designed for the transportation and protection of the Syrp Magic Carpet Medium Track Kit with Carriage and End Caps (39") (B&H# SYKIT0017H). The proper and smooth functioning of the slider depends upon the rails of the track being undamaged. Putting two of them inside this bag would defeat its purpose (even though it would technically be possible) as each one could easily scratch, nick, and dent the other's rails.

[1.275 lb] If youre like me and try to do everything you can to protect your equipment (and your investment), youre going to want to consider getting a bag to carry around your Syrp Magic Carpet long track. The bag comes stylistically packaged in a cylindrical drum box (not unlike a vintage hat box, but taller). The bag itself is perfectly cut and snugly fits the entire Magic Carpet track. The bag is designed to store the carriage as well, although you will need to lock the carriage closer to the opening of the bag so that it can slide in and out of the bag easier. You will need to remove the end caps and stow them parallel with the track when in the bag. The zippers are very high quality and the leather tab, emblazoned with the Syrp logo, is a nice touch and a detail youll not likely find in other bags. Attached to the bag are two D-rings to attach an included shoulder strap, and theres a compact pocket to stow the strap if you decide not to use it. The bag handles are also very high quality and judging the stitching details, they arent likely to wear out and rip off as you might find in lesser bags. Overall the bag excellently constructed and well padded, appointed with details in the zippers and handle. It is certainly a well-designed, thought-out product and is worth it if you are wont to protect your Magic Carpet long track slider to and from sets or the outdoors. 5

[1.275 lb] Soon after I bought the Syrp Genie 3 axis kit which includes the Magic Carpet (Short Track), I had to the opportunity to travel and decide to shoot some time lapses and wanted to take my Gyrp kit. While the rest of the kit was easy to pack, the Track was a different story. Ended up buying the Syrp Case for the track. The quality of the case is great, its not padded as much as I would have expected, but then again the track is pretty sturdy and probably could take some rough use. It is a very snug fit, but allows for room to have the slider piece to be on the track and still fit which is great. Overall a good case for a great product. 5
