In terms of the difference or a super-set, the US Version is basically a World Version restricted to operate within the US Regulatory domain. In terms of a product purchase, if you were purchasing from a US seller, you can only get the US version since they are allowed to sell this version. There are some sellers in the US which do sell the World Version, however they can only ship it to addresses outside of the US. If you were purchasing from outside the US, they will have World Versions (ie. Canada).
