The IR919 Series Long Range IR Illuminator from Iluminar emits infrared illumination, which is invisible to the human eye but can be seen by a night vision camera with its IR cut filter removed. The illuminator has a 10° light distribution angle that provides an HOV of 161’ and a range of 919’.

The IR919 illuminator is designed to provide IR lighting for CCTV systems. With an IP67 rating, the illuminator is weatherproof and can be used outdoors. The hardened housing provides protection from harsh weather conditions and rapid temperature variations (-58 to 140°F). This semi-covert camera is not effected by light pollution and has a longer range (919’) than visible light illuminators due to its higher wavelength.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this compatible with dji rs2?

A: At present time, the DJI LiDAR Range Finder for RS (B&H# DJRSRF) is only compatible with the DJI RS 3 Pro Gimbal Stabilizer (B&H #DJRS3P) and there has not been any announced intention to make it work with any other gimbal(s) as of this time.

Q: 2. What other equipment do I need to have the camera on a tripod and use the DJI LiDAR Range Finder?

A: The DJI LiDAR Range Finder for RS 3 Pro & RS 4 Pro would require the DJI RS 3 Pro Gimbal Stabilizer Combo, B&H # DJRS3PC, or the DJI RS 4 Pro Gimbal Stabilizer Combo, B&H # DJRS4PC, which comes with a focus motor. The gimbal has a tripod mount that you could use to attach it to a tripod.

Q: 3. Is this rated to be outside?

A: No, this is not a outdoor model. BH #UBUAPACMUS is rated to be outside

Q: 4. What is it with the US tag in the part number? Is it strictly reserved for US residents? I'm from Canada and would like to buy one of these someday.

A: From Ubiquiti's community website...The reason why there are two versions (other brands other versions as well), because in the US, they do not allow devices which are capable of operating outside the US Regulatory domain by the FCC. In terms of the difference or a super-set, the US Version is basically a World Version restricted to operate within the US Regulatory domain. In terms of a product purchase, if you were purchasing from a US seller, you can only get the US version since they are allowed to sell this version. There are some sellers in the US which do sell the World Version, however they can only ship it to addresses outside of the US. If you were purchasing from outside the US, they will have World Versions (ie. Canada).

Q: 5. Can this AP be powered by a non-Ubiquiti PoE router such as Netgear GS108PE or TP Link SG1008PE?

A: It comes with a PoE injector, but it can be powered by PoE compatible routers as well.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the old focus motor included in the rc2?

A: The DJI LiDAR Range Finder for RS 3 Pro is only compatible with the RS 3 Pro and the Ronin 4D. It is not directly compatible with any focus motors.

Q: 7. How long is the POE cable which connects this Unifi unit to the POE adapter?

A: The Ubiquiti Networks UAP-AC-LR-US 802.11ac Long Range Access Point BH #UBUAPACLRUS does not include any Ethernet cables. If you are referring to the power cord for the PoE injector, it is approximately 1.5'.

Q: 8. Is this the same as the new DJI Lidar Pro?

A: The DJI LiDAR Range Finder for RS 3 Pro increases the ranging points from 43.200 to 76.800 ranging points. The additional ranging points would mean the new Lidar focus Pro will be more accurate. Also, the maximum range has been increased from 46 feet to 65 feet. The Lidar Pro also has support for human and vehicle recognition.

Q: 9. Can this be used as a standalone device? Perhaps on Arri?

A: Yes, the DJI LiDAR Range Finder for RS 3 Pro can be used with other systems using the new DJI LiDAR Range Finder to Transmitter Cable Hub, BH #DJLIDARRF (https://bhpho.to/46Yle78).

Q: 10. Can Raveneye still work while the Lidar module is active?

A: Yes, the DJI LiDAR Range Finder can daisy chain USB-C into the DJI RS Focus Motor (2022) and out to the USB-C focus motor port on the gimbal. The DJI Ronin RavenEye Image Transmission System for RS 2 & RSC 2 can plug its USB-C cable into the video transmission/LiDAR Rangefinder USB-C port on the gimbal.

[161' (49 m)] Using this to light up the side yard all the way to the back fence, about 90 feet. Just like in Iluminar's youtube videos this thing throws IR light everywhere. I love that a separate camera in a opposite corner that just sees the backyard sees the massive amount of IR light that it puts out. I have this model and the IR148 both are built solid after a year later still waterproof and working fine.

[850 nm] It was a piece of cake to attach this to my network.

[32] Well-built and surprisingly bright for a short range illuminator.
My only gripe is the user manual I received, it came in every language except English. I would have preferred more technical information about optimum placement and more intelligible graphs for the various diffusers. Even so, not a big issue. A couple minutes of trial and error and you'll have the neighborhood lit up nicely. Definitely recommend.

[32] This illuminator greatly improved the night visibility of my security camera. I am very pleased with it. Worth the money.

[16 x 6 x 5.9"] I purchased a few inexpensive illuminators to experiment with and am now replacing them as they burn out. They seem solidly made and provide a lot more light. They also offer a lifetime warranty. There are no intensity or beam pattern adjustments that I can see other than pointing. So its point and shoot.

[2.2 A at 24 VAC] I've had a few of these scattered about the property for a couple years now. Throws a lot of IR and have been flawless. Beam pattern, IR power, and photocell sensitivity are adjustable.

[850 nm] The Axton AT-25S flood illuminator is exactly what I needed. My cameras with built in IR illuminators would attract insects to the cameras themselves which triggered motion events and alerts at night constantly. Rain also would trigger events on some cameras due to IR reflection off of rain droplets. I mounted the Axton illuminator between and above the cameras so insects would be attracted away from the cameras. The 150 degree pattern is great. I am ordering a second one to flood the other side of the house now.

[10°] Bought 2 after other cheaper illuminators were low-light. THey run off a 12 V 7AH battery and the beam means they illuminate objects within 50 ft or more!
