Allowing you to mount a Canon EF lens on a Micro Four Thirds camera body, this Canon EF to Micro Four Thirds Lens Turbo Adapter Mark IIfrom Canon EF to Micro Four Thirds Lens Turbo Adapter Mark IIis a manual adapter that maintains infinity focus and image quality, and well as increases the maximum aperture and angle of view. Four elements are featured in the adapter's design, including one extra-low dispersion element, which helps to deliver a well-corrected image with edge-to-edge sharpness and illumination. This optical design also condenses the light reaching the sensor in order to gain one effective stop of light and increase the angle of view by 0.726x to somewhat lessen the crop factor of Micro Four Thirds cameras.

In addition to the optical design, this adapter features a durable metal housing along with stainless steel mounts for secure lens-to-adapter and adapter-to-camera connections. As a manual adapter, electronic communication, including aperture control and autofocus, is not supported between the camera and lens.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there any aperture control?

A: The aperture will be wide open. The Canon 50mm f/1.4 will be f/1.4.

Q: 2. WILL IT WORK WHIT 18 TO 250 DC 3.5- 6.3, SIGMA LENS?

A: You may mount the Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM for Canon EF Mount onto the Mitakon Zhongyi Canon EF Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II. However, do note that the Mitakon Zhongyi Canon EF Lens to Micro Four Thirds Camera Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II is designed for use with full-frame lenses, so using the Sigma 18-250mm F3.5-6.3 DC Macro OS HSM for Canon EF Mount (which is designed for the smaller APS-C sensor) will have a smaller image circle on your sensor, and may require you to crop in on the image during post-production when using your computer to edit the image. Also note that the Lens Turbo Adapter Mark II is a fully manual adapter, so electronic communication, including aperture control and autofocus, is not supported between the camera and lens. As neither the lens nor the lens adapter have a built-in aperture ring, this means you will not be able to control the aperture of the camera, so you will be stuck with using the lens’ largest aperture when using this adapter with the aforementioned Sigma lens. With the exception of the above issues, yes, you can connect the lens to the adapter and use the setup on a Micro Four Thirds camera.

Q: 3. I dont understand, I have a panasonic gh4 and the manual focus on my canon lenses doesn't even work with this adapter.. please help?

A: Hi,Your Manual Focus needs to be mechanical in order to work with this adaptor. Electronic Manual focus won't work.

Q: 4. Trying to adapt samyang ef mount lenses to my GH5. Had a problem with similar focal reducers not being able to focus to infinity. Has anyone tried this combo that could put my fears to rest?

A: I doubt restrictive focus would be a problem. I am using this adapter with a few EF lenses of different manufacture. I've not encountered that issue.

Q: 5. I have just ordered the Lumix G7 and have a Canon EF 24-105 I wish to use with this adapter. Will the 24mm become 17 mm (0.726) or 34mm because of the MFT 2.0 factor?

A: The crop factor is 2.0 in Full HD and is like 2.3 in 4k so you can multiply 2.3 x .726 = 1.67So 24 mm x 1.67 = 40 mm in 4K.

Q: 6. Is there a Mitakon M43 to Yashica/Contax adaptor?, I don't see one here.

A: The Micro Four Thirds (M43) sensor is much smaller than 35mm film. The imaging circle of a Micro Four Thirds lens would not cover the 35mm film frame, and as such (ignoring the focal flange distance differences), there are no adapters that will allow you to connect a Micro Four Thirds lens onto a camera that uses the Contax/Yashica lens mount. If you were instead looking to connect a Contax/Yashica lens onto the smaller Micro Four Thirds lens mount, while there are no options made by Mitakon Zhongyi, the FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Contax-Yashica Mount Lens to Micro Four Thirds Mount Camera, B&H # FOPLMAC6YM43, would work for your usage needs.

Q: 7. I recently got this adapter for my GH4 and my Rokinon EF cine lenses. Im happy with the optics but the lens fit so tight in lens turbo. You have to apply a lot of pressure to twist the lens out after the pin is released. Im worried it may be scratching or grinding away the metal mount on my lens. Is this normal or is it possibly a defect with the specific lens turbo that I have?

A: I had the same problem, it gets easier the more you attach and remove lenses. The pin issue might be a good reason to return it, you probably got a bad spring

Q: 8. The description says that this adapter covers apsc size sensor lenses maximum. Does that mean it wont work with my full frame ef lenses? Or is it talking about the camera youre adapting tos sensor?

A: This is referring to the camera you are using. This is a focal length reducer, it works by taking the large image circle of full frame lenses and making It smaller, hence reducing the apparent focal length on an APS-C or M43 lens.

Q: 9. Will a Canon 10-18mm work with this adaptor & G85?Speifically, wii the lens be usable throughout the whole zoom range?

A: This lens adapter is the best friend of any full manual lens. So if any lens has data contacting pins then it will not fully work on this adapter. In this case, your 10-18 may can't work fully as you lose the aperture control. Recommendation: go with Metabone Speedbooster instead.

Q: 10. Will this adapter work with the Blackmagic Micro Cinema camera?

A: Yes, this adapter is compatible with the Blackmagic Micro Cinema Camera.

[0.39 lb] Works great. Requires a slight reverse twist move when applying the lens to activate the aperture control on the lens. Doesn't take long to get used to and from what I can tell it's a great value in comparison to some other adapters that are much more expensive. You do get some blooming when you use a backlight in a shot but it almost gives you a haze look so it's like having a built in fogger. Overall I'm pretty impressed and would recommend this for sure.

[0.39 lb] I wondered if this was a compromise but with some testing I think it gives you most of what the more expensive options do. Fit on either end is snug and solid. Image bright and clear, no vignetting unless you go very wide on a DX lens. If you put your 35mm 1.8 DX on a G7 your maximum aperture is about 2.5. Sweet! Its just a high-value, no-sacrifice way to adapt Nikon glass to MFT.

[0.39 lb] Great product at fantastic price. Works as advertised. Reduces focal lenght by .726 and gains one stop of light, confirmed by shutter speeds. I don't see any degradation in image sharpness, colours or contrast compared to using MD lens with dummy adapter. The reviewer bellow (Wally) that gave it negative review did not disclose that he is using it with JVC camcorder with m43 mount which uses larger 35mm sensor. This product is designed to work with m43 cameras and 4/3 sensor. Ignore that review, this is grat product for m43 digital cameras.

[0.39 lb] I am not a pro, and i love vintage lenses. If you have a similar use-case, i highly recommend this as the extra fov and stop of light are great. Compared to metabones:
1. This has no electronics, ergo, no autofocus.
2. Its like $100. It wont have the same image quality or quality control.
That said, im extremely satisfied with my purchase, and the money i saved compared to the metabones option

[0.39 lb] Does just what it advertises: allows a host of intriguing lenses onto my Micro Four-Thirds rig (e.g. Takumars) and mitigates a good chunk of the cropping penalty. So for example, a 50mm full frame lens would now be the equivalent of something like a 70mm and it also gains back some light. Great product!

[0.39 lb] I love my vintage lenses, but the crop factor on my m4/3s meant I wasn't quite getting the dramatic look I was hoping for. I was honestly suggesting picking up a full frame camera when a coworker suggested this. It works a treat for both getting that extra bokeh and shooting in lower lighting, and buys me some time before I have to make the hard NIkon vs Canon vs Sony decision.

[0.39 lb] Wow much better than expected! I initially thought, well... its Chinese... but the price is right. But it is made of machined aluminum, tight fit on body and lens. Not withstanding its Chinese heritage, the image is clean and the added stop of light is incredibly useful!

[0.39 lb] I have two of these for my GH4s and have nikon and sigma glass on them. They are simply awesome.
