The chain links have snapped multiple times as well and just don't seem sturdy enough to work unless I have something set up incorrectly.

A: For vinyl I would use the metal change. And I would not go larger than the width you are using now because the foll becomes too heavy for the drives. You must use both sides of the chain to have a controlled lowering of vinyl because it is heavier. Holding both sides of the loop of chain should keep it from spinning uncontrollably off the cardboard roll. We do not sell the Impact chain on it's own but the Manfrotto 091MCG Metal Chain for Expan Drive, Gray 11.5' (3.5 m) BH #MA091MCG will work on your Impact drives and should not break,

A: no, it dont have any security system, its only a plain usb drive

A: When utilizing the Impact Varidrive with Silver Metal Chain, the roll can be at a set position based on how much tension is placed on the wheels on the back of the drive. A: Yes, the Manfrotto Background Baby Hooks work with Expan Drives and the Impact Varidrives.For safety I highly recommend using a heavy sand bag on each stand leg. When you unroll the paper background it pulls forward at the same time and you need the weight to help prevent it from falling over.

A: The chain is a continuous loop with no stops, therefore the backdrop length does not matter.

Q: 9. can this be mounted to the ceiling?

A: From what I can tell, this is designed to be mounted to both the wall and ceiling. The hooks on are shaped to hold the rolls either from the wall or ceiling, not just the wall (as other answers would have you believe). The Varidrives that hold the rolls are also designed so that they can support something hanging from the wall or the ceiling. Like a previous answer said, you should mount into a wood beam when securing into the ceiling.

[0.04 lb] We are using a flash drive to store and playback videos on a portable projector. I tried with a USB 3.0 Flash Drive, thinking the newer version was better. But the projector had a different idea. I learned from the professionals at B+H that this unit requires an older USB 2.0 Flash Drive. I never would have thought of that but sure enough, when I used this Verbatim 64G Ergo USB 2.0, the projector recognized the videos and played them flawlessly. 5

[32 GB] Super fast, super small, super cheap. I was using an Older USB stick and it became problematic. I kept trying to stick with it but realized that it was time To move on. This new USB stick is extraordinarily fast! Dragging large files to It is blazingly fast! I felt foolish for trying to nurse along the old USB stick. I mean come on, it's only a few bucks for this thing and it works well. Ironically the biggest fear I have is losing it because it's so small. But other than that I'm a happy man. 5

[5 x 3.5 x 0.2"] I bought this flash drive to backup the OS for my new laptop. The drive is fast enough using either connector. My only word of caution is with the string thingy. It doesn't come attached, and it's tricky to figure out on your own. But since it's only useful for keeping track of the cap and putting the flash drive on a keychain, I didn't take any points off for it. It was kinda fun to figure out how to put it on. 5

[Metal] I use these to transfer CR3 RAW files as well as high-res, processed jpegs to clients. They are reliable and fast enough for most short-term data transport and storage applications. Using a USB-C to USB 3.1 hub I can transfer 30 Canon CR3 RAW files (50 to 66 MB file size) from a 1GB/sec, 4 TB SSD to a 32 GB Verbatim Nano drive per minute. Real-time transfer rate is perfectly in line with BlackMagic Speed Test results of 31.23 MB/sec (Write) and 36.73 MB/sec (Read) test results (1GB stress test file size). Testing was done on a 2021 8-core iMac Retina USB-3.1 port. Speed test results were very consistent over the (8), 32GB drives in my last batch. Formatted capacity was 31.44 GB on each drive. These are very, very small drives and have a fairly tight USM connector. That means they can sometimes be a little difficult to remove from a USB port. However, at their current price, these tiny drives certainly rate 5-stars. 5

[0.04 lb] I personally used this flash with my Nanlite Pavotube. It was great. It is the best bang for the buck hands down. It was still working after over a 1000 uses. I would definately buy this again. 5
