A: It is expandable. When you buy the refill, it comes with little metal digits that you insert into the hole. The refills are only sixty pictures. I have had as much as 500 pictures in one album. I have been buying this product for years and have held on to the little metal digits over the years. You need to add the metal digit every time you add so many pages. However, the bigger you go , makes it a little bulky, when shutting. I have only used the 4 x 6.

I'm a scientist, so, here's the data, with a pack of JMV refills in my hand (JMV-207 refills).The package itself just says what it holds (up to 11x14, panoramic, etc.) Well, with tape measure in hand, I'd offer this under oath: 16 6/16 inches long (16 3/8 ) by 12 exaclty high (top to bottom of page). That is the actual size of the pages/refills, which the album cover just a hair bigger. (technical term)The thing is, that's not all usable space, as there is an area where the binding holes are, and a bit of plastic-only to allow page turning. That's almost exactly 1 1/4 of binder space, leaving display space for photos effectively at 12x15, allowing for all the advertised sizes, solo or mixed (as it's 'magnetic', arrangeable).Last bit of data: Of the 12 by 15 (horizontal) 'workspace' of each page, there's also about 3/8 where you peel the page open (not ribbed or sticky /magnetic), adjacent to the binder holes, and practically, while you can 'fill it to the brim' if you want, it's best to leave that for pulling up, and a tighter fight over the photo. Pick and choose the dimensions you need.
