The DVI/USB2.0 HDBaseT Extender Kit allows one DVI channel and one USB 2.0 channel to be transmitted over distances of up to 330 ft (100 m) at all resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 via single Cat5e/6 cable, 4K (3840 x 2160) to 230 ft (70 m). The Receiver features a 4-port USB 2.0 hub for transferring of multiple USB 2.0 data transmissions.

Q: 1. Is there an external IR sensor available? I need to control the camera from the rear.

A: There is an IR sensor on the back as well.

A: According to Presonus, when the interface is powered via USB which is required when using an iPad, the unit will not charge when in use, however should maintain a charge. The unit will be compatible with most third party apps capable of recording audio.

Q: 3. Does this camera support USB control, via skype?

A: No this camera does not support USB control. Only IR camera control and RS-232 control. That being said you can convert RS-232 to USB and control the camera from a Windows computer using the HuddleCamHD Camera Control Software.

Q: 4. I had a Sony 707 with "memory stick" cards. Will this read the SONY memory stick?

A: Yes, the Vidpro 6-Slot All-In-One USB 2.0 Card Reader will be able to read the Sony Memory Stick cards.

A: Yes, this is a plug and play USB device. So you can pull it up in GoToMeeting as your webcam.

A: This reader will not work with MicroDrive cards.

[104 °F] I was tasked with having users mirror their laptop on a tv (after the built was complete) without software and I have found the answer. A facility had just finished a renovation and the tv was mounted, power was installed and network drops were in place but no thought had gone into how to utilize the boardroom to its full potential. After much discussion with endusers and management the most cost effective way would be to use an HDMI extender without any software installation required (since most laptops are locked down these days). With cables plugged in (HDMI and CAT5/6) all is left for the user to do is to plug in HDMI to their laptop and we now have the laptop screen on the tv. Another great product from Startech.com. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. 5

[2.05 lb] The StarTech device worked great from the time we plugged it in. Since it only needs power at one end (and either end works), it was easy to install and is flexible. Liked it so much that we are replacing another extender of a different brand. 5

[FCC, RoHS] I have three sets of these USB extenders and they work well. The receiver has a 4-port USB hub, and an external USB hub is not needed. I power the receiver. 5

[8.5 x 7 x 2.9"] These things are awesome. Get a full quality image coming across from what I can see. Very easy to install and quick to connect. Only wish it came in a kit with a remote mouse as well. 5

[HDBaseT] B&H was our choice when we replaced our video camera and peripherals in our worship center recently. Our experience in getting approved for and creating a tax exempt account via their website was a very efficient process as well. We are located in PA and they are in NY. [Wired] Use this to extend control of a Camera and Telescope 100ft away in the garden. Telescope also has a USB to RS232 converter, which works perfectly over the extended link. No real complaints, it works as expected. Used to have a USB1.1 extender, but camera picture download was too slow, this makes a world of difference. 5
