Q: 2. Does this also cover the 24-70 mm f2.8G ED lens as well ???

Q: 4. Is it possible to buy only the part that fits over the lens hood?

A: When it comes to the LensCoat Lens Cover for Nikon NIKKOR Z 600mm f/4 TC VR S Lens (Realtree Max4) you can not get the camo cover for just the hood and that appears to be the case with most other brands as well. A potential solution is to get a LensCoat TravelHood (Large, Realtree MAX-4), BH# LETHLM4.

[5.1 lb] I bought this case in June 2014 and have so far used it for 2 1/2 weeks on a photo safari in Botswana & Zambia, another week in Kruger, and a couple of week driving in South Africa. I bought it to use with a Canon 500 f/4 Mk II + a 1.4X TC + Canon 7D. It worked just as advertised, and filled better than any other bag I've seen the need for dust and damage protection while having quick access to a long telephoto with the hood attached.. Using just the strap that comes with the case I could anchor the bag to a seat back or bar on the safari vehicle. Getting the camera and lens out was very quick and easy, and the case protected the lens beautifully. Another reviewed commented that the lens and camera rattled around the big case which was true without a collar to brace it in the case. Lenscoat has since come out with a collar that eliminates that problemOne feature I really like about the case is the way it folds up flat and fairly compact (more than any other case I've seen) so I packed it in my suitcase when I had to travel by plane. It is also very light weight.I bought the optional shoulder straps to carry it like a backpack, but have not used them much. I found that for all my purposes carrying the case from car to tent or bungalow, the shoulder strap that is included worked great and doubled as a strap to anchor the bag in the car. The shoulder straps added more things to get tangled up, and did not improve the ease of carrying the bag enough to justify having them attached. If I have to walk a longer distance with the case my opinion may change.

[Yes] I recently purchased the LensCoat 4Xpandable Long Lens Bag for my Canon 600 IS II. I typically have the 1.4 or 2x mounted to it at all time and my 1dx. I love the way it expands to fit my needs. When I'm out in the field I like to have the lens and camera ready to shoot and I have not seen any other bag that can do accommodate this. I like that I can fold the bag almost flat and put in my suitcase if needed or I can use it as a carry on (although folded to its shortest height.) It is well made, sturdy and I can tell it will be with me a long time. The case comes with folding instructions, a removable shoulder strap (which is great for securing to the seat in a car), 2 securing straps (to attach a tripod), a lens collar insert so the lens doesn't move around in the case, and a micro fiber cloth. I also purchased the Harness and waist belt.

[5.1 lb] This is universal webbing with plastic buckles that comes handy for holding tight any piece of equipment. I don't use it for lenses, I use it to attach tripod to several different camera bags and backpacks.
