Q: 1. Is this mic compatible to be used with a Denecke PS power supply? I'm having a problem, cause I just hear a loud hum noise and no transmitter signal. I tried it with other mics and transmitters, and I hear the same loud hum noise.

A: Yes, the Sanken CS-M1 can be used with the Denecke PS-1A or PS-2 which are both compatible 48V phantom power supplies. The Denecke PS-T is not compatible for use with the CS-M1 because it is a 12V "T-power" supply intended for use with older microphones that require lower voltage and the CS-M1 requires 48V phantom power.

Q: 2. How long is the cable from mic to plug in.

A: Mine measures 49 . FWIW, it's an excellent mic, has very, very good vocal presence and lends itself reasonably well to hiding in collars, inside shirts, etc. Just be aware that it picks up audio around the periphery of the mic head, not directly from the front (the front of the mic has no sound holes for lack of a more elegant term.)I just used this thing for the first time with an Azden Pro XD wireless setup, and it worked great - zero breath pops, no wind noise, minimal to no shirt/fabric noise when properly mounted. It's light years ahead of the mic that comes with the Azden setup.

Q: 3. Hi, I just ordered this mic a couple weeks ago. So far it has not shown to turn on or record any audio, nor did I receive an instruction manual with it. I have plugged it into my canon 5d mark III and also a Zoom H5 recorder, and both have giving me no sound from the mic and some plug in noise. No levels are shown to record. I have not been able to find any troubleshooting pieces on line. Can you help me?
