Made from figured parts of the Walnut tree, which adds a subtle shimmer. It is a beautiful wood that is dense and finishes well. Featuring a large, 14mm size, the shutter release button attaches to your camera via a threaded screw, tapered to fit most cameras, and comes with two small anti-slip O-rings, which use friction to prevent the button from loosening.

A: For an FM2, a large would be good. As far as shape, that is a matter of personal preference. I think a concave design is best for comfort, etc...

A: At this writing Nikon lists that the Nikon AR-11 Soft Shutter Release only works with the Nikon Df D-SLR camera.

Q: 5. Is this supposed to screw down flush with the shutter release button? My sample does not screw all the way down flush and you can see a 1/16" of the tapered stem, and the new button is raised up above the shutter release.

A: No these are not supposed to screw down flush, it is supposed to be raised up a bit to allow it to be easier to press the shutter button my distinctly.

Q: 6. what is the diameter ? I want to fit it on an old Canon 7 rangefinder film camera.

A: Only fits on Nikon. Needs to shop for Canon products

[Woodgrain] Shame on Leica for not including this hotshoe cover with the expensive camera body. I believe it's not just a nice to have, even if it does give the camera a more polished, sleek appearance. I think it's key to have to keep the sensitive contacts on the hotshoe protected from dirt, liquid, damage, etc. It may be the least expensive Leica accessory that I own! I highly recommend it. 5

[0.135 lb] This is a little detail item, but if you're a fan of pentax like I am it's a pretty nice item. Most people would think this is a waste of money, but I'm trying to be a minimalist and so I have spent money on these kinds of detail items to more appreciate the camera that I have (Pentax k-3 iii) instead of more gear/G.A.S. As for the item itself, it is beautiful and well made. It makes your camera feel that much more professional and premium. 5

[Woodgrain] Perfect fit for Leica Q2. Not too tight, but won’t fall out. A little pricey @ $40, but a huge improvement on the plastic version that comes with a new camera. 5
