A: The Lectrosonics ALP620 Perforated LPDA Shark Fin Style Antenna is not IP-rated; therefore, it cannot be left out in the rain. Using a plastic bag or rain cover to protect it will actually affect the wireless range of the antenna, making it prone to RF interference.

A: The WS11 windshield is specifically designed to fit the Rode VideoMic NTG which has a 21.6mm diameter and is 171mm long. The Sony ECM-XM1 has a 21mm diameter and is 162mm long. It is possible that the WS11 may fit the ECM-XM1, but we have not tested it with the Sony mic to be able to confirm that it will fit correctly.
