The pack of ten black AKG W81 MicroLite Windscreen 10-Pack Blackfrom AKG W81 MicroLite Windscreen 10-Pack Blackis designed for use with the LC81 MD (lavalier), EC81 MD (ear-hook), and HC81 MD (headworn) reference lightweight cardioid microphones. You simply place this foam windscreen over the microphone's wire-mesh cap for additional sound protection in challenging environments.

A: I wouldnt advise this for the NTG1. This is designed fro the MKH60 which has a larger diameter and is longer. Here are two good options for the NTG1 Rode Blimp System (Item# ROBLIMPR) Rycote Super Shield (Item# RYSSKM) Both of the above options are also far less expensive than the Sennheiser as with the Sennheiser you will still need to add the Grip and the wind muff in order to use this.

A: You can modify this product if you wish, but the Rode invisiLav is designed to work with lavalier mics with the windscreens removed.

I don’t use this on an AKG. For me, this little clown nose is perfect for my Sennheiser 416 microphone. I work this microphone close-up. A conventional nylon stocking-type enormous circular windscreen doesn’t allow me to have a proper view of the script I am performing. This little pop filter is expensive but superbly addresses my need. A studio in Hollywood has been successfully using this on the Sennheiser 416 for three decades. When I must record in another studio I have this in my pocket. 5

I used to weep when one of my OEM screens was crushed under foot. No longer. These work well, and are at the right price. One nice thing about them: They provide a slightly tighter fit over my Sony ECM lav heads. Tight is good. 5

I wanted a compact tripod for an upcoming overseas trip and this looked like a good fit. I already have two Induro tripods and heads but they are still bulky for airline travel, hiking and city vistas. This Field Optics model is surprisingly sturdy and keeps my DSLR very stable. The lower overall height is fine as I intend to use it low down for waterfalls, landscapes and city lights. The reverse folding center section makes it very compact so its easy to drop into a camera shoulder bag. I added a skinny ballhead to keep the overall weight down. Very happy; lets see how it performs next month in the UK. 5

Typical AKG quality, very good. We only use these for indoor HVAC prevention during live recording, but certainly a solid windscreen for gusts less than 10-15 MPH 5

We have 6 ECM-77s, four on wireless and two wired, and lose the original screens frequently. These screens are tough, fit very snugly (don't need a few spots of glue to hold them on) ,block wind and are readily available. 5
