Q: 1. It comes with two rolls of paper and two inkroll cartriges correct?

A: Yes that comes with two rolls of paper and two ribbons. Each one can print up to 200 prints so this kit can print up to 400 prints.

Q: 2. Do you have to mix the whole gallon at one time? Should it all be mixed at one time? How long does the developer last mixed up in a gallon jug? When you use it for 1 print developing session, do you throw out the developer that you just used?

A: Kodak recommends that you mix the entire package due to the fact that the different dry chemicals will separate and stratify in the package due to shipping. Once the stock solution is mixed with water it will keep up to 6 months in a full tightly sealed container. You can keep multiple smaller containers of the stock solution if you desire, again they should be full and tightly capped.Regarding a printing session, Kodak states a capacity of 120 8x10 prints per gallon of 1:2 dilution developer. Most people never attempt to use it to full capacity since the developer is cheap and it can be difficult to detect when the developer is becoming exhausted. You may mistake exhausted developer for insufficient exposure or contrast. If your a hobbyist then use it for something less and replace. I personally use it to 50 to 75 percent of capacity and never more that two printing session due to concern of extended exposure to the air / oxidation.

Q: 3. Can I use Foma Fomafix for XTOL?

A: Yes. Kodak Professional XTOL Film Developer can be used with Fomafix.

Q: 4. To mix D-76 you put all the contents of the package in 1 gallon of water to make the stock solution, correct? Then when it comes time to develop a roll of film, do you dilute the stock solution? Do you reuse this developer after you develop 1 roll of film or do you discard? Thank you!

A: Hi, Arlen:You can either dilute the stock dilution 1+1 with water or use it straight. My preference for roll film is to use it straight, although I know that some photographers use it diluted. I dilute this developer 1+1 when I develop 4x5 film.Remember that D-76 reduces the film speed by almost 1 stop. For instance, when I shoot Kodak T-max 400, I shoot at 320. For 35 mm film, my developer of choice is Kodak XTol because in my experience it doesnt reduce the speed film, so I can shoot at 400 ASA. These are my personal preferences, and they work for me. Other photographers may think otherwise. May you have any other questions, dont hesitate to ask.

Q: 5. Can I mix this and store it in a brown bottle? Or do I have to mix each individual batch as I'd like to use it?

A: This chemistry can be mixed and stored in a 5L brown bottle.

Q: 6. Using D-76 to develop Tri-X 400 pushed to asa / iso 1600. How much extra time to develop film? 35mm 36ex

A: Hi Kelly, I made an error. Please use times 10.5 and 7 respectively. Sorry chuck

Q: 7. How does it differ from the fixer that it replaced?

A: Hi--no changes were made to the product, but the packaging and wholesale arrangements were changed slightly.

Q: 8. what replenisher do you use for d76?

A: While there is a dedicated D76 Replenisher from Kodak, item 146 4833, it is something we no longer carry.

Q: 9. Is the current batch problem free? Some people mentioned that the batch 2019/08/09 has some issues.

A: To our knowledge, there have been no issues reports with the current batch of this chemistry.

Q: 10. Is this a substitute for Sony UPC-X46, that I have been using in my Sony digital photo (passport) printer for the last 5 years?Thank you.

A: Unfortunately this is not compatible with the Sony UPC-X46. We do not carry any media that is compatible with this printer.

I purchased these to store oversize photos at the local history museum where I volunteer. I was very happy with the quality of the products. I ordered two sizes, one was out of stock. I received both earlier than the estimated delivery dates. The ordering process was super easy. The products arrived very well packed. I would order again from this site, no question! Their prices also fit our slim budget, normally archival products are so expensive!

Received the packets of 10 each 13x19 clear sleeves quickly and nicely packed. So they cost roughly $1 each but worth every penny to keep your prints free from dust and damage. In the past I have ordered 16x20 sleeves as well. These 13x19, however, had some tiny hanging residual strings of plastic material from manufacturing, but they came right off. It's good to know my prints are protected and that the sleeves are archival materials. I used up my 20 sleeves quickly and will have to reorder soon. Thank you B&H for having these available for us - and your complete catalog with so many excellent offerings. I just got my Canon ix6820 13x19 printer from you as well at a great price, and it works really great and also handles my standard bond paper for my letters as well - I'm a happy customer!

I use these sheets to hold archival photo prints and they are heavy enough to protect thicker fiber based prints. The polypropylene works well and has enough flexibility not to crease. It is a good product for archival uses.

There's not much to them, but they do what they're designed to do. They were shipped in a small box, so they came with creases in them. A few days sandwiched between two heavy, flat items helped.
