Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this monitor connect to a 5DIII? If so, what type of cable will it require? Same question for a 7DII. Thank you.

A: Hey Mike, to answer your question. Yes, this will connect to an 5D Mark III. The cable you need is already included. My only advice for you is to buy an additional battery as the monitor does not come with one. You can buy the same battery that the 5D uses and that's a huge plus. Hope this helps. The monitor is great, I've had it for about 2 months and no problems. Just a 5 sec lag when you start up the monitor and camera. So when you have them connected, just let it do it's thing and the image will show up after at least 5 sec.

Q: 2. does this work with the JVC GY HM-600?

A: Yes it should. The HM-600 offers an HDMI output which you can connect to this monitor.

Q: 3. Will this work on the Panasonic GH4?

A: It works with HDMI input so as long as the camera has that function it will work fine

Q: 4. What tripod or independent support could I get to use with this?

A: This monitor has a 1/4"-20 thread under it for mounting. The popular option would be to use a Mini Tripod such as B&H # MAMTPIXIEVOB which has a 1/4"-20 stud and 5.5 pound load capacity. https://bhpho.to/2nLFvHx

Q: 5. Did anyone use this monitor outdoor on a sunny day(summer)? is it bright enough on a sunny day? we do multi-cam setup for outdoor events and it's hard for our camera crew to look at the little camera in-built LCD screens. Appreciate any help/input form you guys. Thank you

A: While the sunhood which is included will help, at 450 Nit is really is not meant to be used as a monitor in bright sunlight. For an inexpensive option that will work well in daylight you could check out the PORTKEYS HH7 7" HDMI IPS On-Camera Monitor, B&H # POHH7, which is rated at 1200 Nit. https://bhpho.to/2BJpcnv

Q: 6. Will this monitor stretch the DSLR signal to fill the screen?

A: I do not use it with a DSLR, but I think I read in the manual that it will stretch it.

Q: 7. How do I scale image up to fit screen? I have a Canon 6d, and I am getting a black border around my whole image in Live view, but not on playback. In other words, when I am recording video the image is smaller than the size of the Monitor, but when I playback it's full screen. I tried cycling through the different views by pressing INFO on the camera, and also paid with different aspect rations on the screen.

A: Honestly, I have the same problem. In fact, I've just been assuming I was doing something wrong. Now, with your question, I see I'm not alone. I wish I could offer you help. It makes me want to research it further, however. Sorry.

Q: 8. Does this monitor have different aspect ratio guides such as 1:85 and 2:35?

A: This monitor can display the following: 16:10, 16:9, 4:3, 1.85:1, and 2.35:1.

Q: 9. Can I use this monitor with a Canon c100?

A: Yes you can. You will just need a standard HDMI to HDMI cable to connect the camera to the monitor. https://bhpho.to/2gKgeyu

Q: 10. Is there a Canon battery plate available?

A: Unfortunately we do not have a Canon battery plate available for this monitor. Keep in mind this kit does come with a Sony NP-F style battery and charger.

[24.1 lb] This sucker is strong as heck. Also made super well. The finish feels high quality all the way around.

[24.1 lb] I attached the mount to two metal studs that were 20” apart. Even though Peerless does not recommend attaching to metal studs, it is very solid. Another option is to open up the wall and insert a wood 1 x 2 inside the medal stud.

[24.1 lb] I've been installing A/V components for 17+ years and Peerless is one of my favorites. This mount is built very strong (but make sure you don't exceed the recommended weight capacity). Since it's so robust it moves very smoothly and easily. This means you don't need to shove, flex and potentially damage your flat panel to collapse the bracket. The only gripe I can come up with is that the mounting locations are 16 apart (obviously for stud layout). There are no other holes to accommodate alternate framing. The vertical elliptical piece can slide left or right to accommodate for studs not being in the right place for proper TV placement. Cannot beat the price at B & H.

[24.1 lb] I used the PA740 to clear some space from my tiny computer desk and to facilitate couch-based movie watching. My 27 monitor rotates almost a full 90 degrees (it could be more if I shimmed out the mount with a 1x4), which allows me to combine Office and Home Theater areas in my tiny, big city apartment. Wish I had done it sooner. I have used Peerless products at work, and have always been impressed with their sturdiness, ease of installation, and how thoroughly they equip you with mounting hardware. One nice thing about this particular mount is its small installation footprint: just two beefy screws tap into a single wall stud. Nice for those of us don't own our living spaces. Take note that this mount does not track up and down. The horizontal plane at which you mount it is pretty much what you get, although there are tilt and level adjustments built in.

[24.1 lb] I got this to mount my 55 TV above our fireplace. This mount is very sturdy and heavy duty and not light. It came with all of the mounting hardware which was a plus. The only modification I had to do was build some brackets to extend it out to the edge of the fireplace mantel. Otherwise the TV would have set to high for our room. Our issue, not the mount.

[24.1 lb] Used with a Sony OLED 77 in. It allows the huge screen, which I use as a computer monitor, to float over my desk, in any position. I can turn it and walk behind it to make connections.

I attached a few straps to the mount on the back of the TV to move it without touching the TV.

The only complaint is that, as the mount is covered in baked enamel, it is slippery and some adjustments, the horizontal level and the tilt angle may not hold steady. I used some blue Loctite to increase friction.

Again, very sturdy and very long and very flexible... a gem.

[24.1 lb] I'm impressed with how solid this mount is. The entire bracket feels solid and the installation directions were good. It is heavier than a lot of articulating arm brackets, but it is built to hold the weight of a large TV.

[24.1 lb] Does what is says. Solid once everything is tightened down. Post leveling feature proved quite useful. Despite my best efforts the mount did end up a degree off level and the adjustability of the mount made correcting that quite simple. The finish feels high quality and expect it will prove quite durable.

It is quite hefty and a second person to help get it on the wall would make it a lot easier but doable on your own.
