Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a Sony RX 10 IV, extra battery and charger, external flash and a couple filters. Will this fit into this bag?

A: It should not be a problem. You might want to have a bottom or side partition so the flash does not rub the camera, or it might fit in one of the elastic side pockets. I have a Mamiya 7 with a 65mm lens and it fits in easily. No room for a a 2nd lens though.

Q: 2. I have a Canon 60D with a Sigma 18-250 lens, I carry a couple of backup batteries and charger, a couple of filters and the camera instruction manual; will it all fit, or should I go one size larger?Larry

A: This camera bag would easily hold all of your gear and still have some room left over for other items you may still need to stow.

Q: 3. This is a two part question. 1.) Are the inside dimensions given in the specs sections of this site accurate? 2.) Does the RuggedWear version ship with two dividers like the pictures show?

A: Interior dimensions for the F-8 Small Shoulder Bag RuggedWear are as follows -6.5 x 3.5 x 6.5 The F-8 Small Shoulder Bag includes two adjustable/removable interior dividers.

Q: 4. is this bag has the same hard bottom as in Domke F-5XB?I suppose there is integrated plate.

A: Yes, there is a padded integrated bottom plate.

Q: 5. Will two Leica Q's fit in this bag?

A: Yes two Leica Q cameras can fit in this bag.

Q: 6. The description for the F-8 says that a hand strap carrying handle is included. But in one of the reviews the reviewer said he bought an accessory hand strap, implying that it is not included with the bag. Is the hand strap carrying handle included?

A: Yes. The hand strap is made of substantial webbing material, and it has two steel snap hooks at the ends which attach to the same D rings that the shoulder strap attaches to. It stays out of the way when not needed, but comes easily to hand when it is. I don'the use mine so much as a carry strap, but as a grab strap.

Q: 7. What is purpose of elastic strap in Domke f8 side pockets?

A: The elastic straps allow you to attach different size accesories securely inside the side pockets of the Domke F-8 Small Canvas Shoulder Bag.

Q: 8. Previous question: I have a Canon 60D with a Sigma 18-250 lens, I carry a couple of backup batteries and charger, a couple of filters and the camera instruction manual; will it all fit, or should I go one size larger?Larry Answer: Yossi O from B&H Photo Video said: This camera bag would easily hold all of your gear and still have some room left over for other items you may still need to stow. Followup question: what happens if i have a second Canon lens 18-135, will i still be happy with the bag? And, was your answer based on a dismantled camera or one fully ready for picture taking?

A: Yes, you would have room to stow a second lens such as the 18-135mm as well. My previous reply was in consideration of your primary lens left attached to the camera ready for taking pictures; this reply also takes that into consideration.

Q: 9. another question is about the size of the side pocket, on cm, please!and does it fit iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 s Plus - plugged/unplugged Apple's ear pods?

A: The side pockets on the F-8 are 10cm across, 12cm height, 2cm opening. Will fit iPhone 5, but iPhone 6 sticks up about 2cm from pocket height, though with the flap down should keep it in place. Ear pods no problem.

Q: 10. Is it possible to attach a side-pocket-pouch from from my New Generation Crosstown Courier Bag to one side of this F-9 bag in order to hold an exposure meter for quick access, even when the F-9's main flap is closed? (The other pouches from Domke are far too big.) The pouch should also be easily removable for reattachment to the courier bag.

A: Sorry, we do not see that being possible.

[Flap with Stud] I have this bag in the regular size ( not small) which is 18 width. I carry a D5 body, a 300mm lens, teleconvertor and a couple of smaller lenses comfortably. It's heavy, so I use a carrier and I can strap a monopod to the side as well, though I usually pack my monopod in suitcase on the chance TSA will confiscate. The red padded interior comes out for packing and slips back in easily. I love this bag! I do not think the smaller one will hold a pro body, assorted lenses and flash - you might have to leave something out that you really need since space would be tight. There is also a zippered compartment to hold caps, cleaning supplies, cards, etc. that tucks down over the top. Anyway, the large size is perfect with body and assorted lenses even if I leave the 300 home. I often want to bring more lenses in case and it's nice to know this beautiful bag will protect and carry them.

[Flap with Stud] This is hands down one of the most useful bags when shooting weddings or events. It's a bit pricey....but it is well made and works so well with my Holdfast Moneymaker dual camera strap. When shooting a wedding I tend to not use flash outdoors - and having them on my camera when they are on my strap can be cumbersome. Now I can simply put them in the bag and pull them out when I'm ready to photograph indoors. There's also enough room to throw in an extra lens as well as lens cleaning cloths, pens, sunglasses, etc. No running back inside the venue to get something from my large rolling camera case. The bag sits near your lower back/buttock area so it's out of the way when shooting and the weight is distributed nicely on my shoulders. Before I purchased the bag I found the moneymaker dual camera straps to be awkward to use with only one camera attached. Having the bag attached to the strap added support to both sides so it stays on my shoulder comfortably even when the weight of one camera is pulling on one side. The bag is very easy to clip on or remove. I usually remove it when shooting indoors and my large rolling camera case is nearby.

[Empty] Absolutely loved it. Looked exactly like how it is pictured. It has a certain weight to it considering that it is made out of full leather, but wearing it is comfortable. Hope to get the moneymaker to go with it!

[Flap with Stud] I had been using the Ona Berlin II, and loved it. Fit my mirrorless gear and a 12 Macbook very nicely, and at a great size. But I wanted to get something that could fit the iPad Pro and still have a smallish form-factor. The closest other bags stretched too much into laptop bag territory, but the Roamographer still has a smaller feel, but can hold all the gear and an iPad Pro with easy access to everything. Its on the heavier side, so not for all day carry I believe. The shoulder strap is comfortable, if a little flashy. I love that I can even fit larger camera gear in it as well, something my smaller bag couldn't handle.

[0.35 lb] Very high-quality craftsmanship...similar to what you would find at high-end fashion and luxury retailers.  The quality is much different than what you normally find in a typical camera backpack.  If youre a photographer who cares about appearance & functionality, and you have extra cash, this backpack may be the one for you.

[Flap with Stud] I love this! Quickly one of my favorite photography tools. The second I put it on I just looked like a pro photographer. There are levels, and I felt like I instantly leveled up- oddly enough.

I'm 5'8" average build, and the small fit perfect. Not sure how to connect the bag on the back, but maybe those bags have those connectors since I haven't purchased one yet.

If you're on the fence and if you have more than 1 camera and have events in the future scheduled, I wish I had known about this earlier- just get it. Seems like a solid investment. Looks good. Fits great. Super functional. I love it and excited to use it! Small investment in something that makes you look like you know what you're doing.

[Green] I bought the sightseer to use with my money maker straps. Absolutely worth every penny. I work primarily as a wedding photographer and its help me out DRASTICALLY on the busiest of days. During the week, my toddler and I like to get out in the woods and it's absolutely perfect to keep my hands free, hold some photo gear, as well as all of his essentials. Kept everything dry when we got caught in the rain, provided easy access when I needed things, and made a big difference in a lot of photo adventures my family and I have found ourselves in.

[Empty] Comfortable to wear on hiking trails unlike so many other bags. Well built, lots of packable space. Camera and lenses will be safe and dry.

[Flap with Stud] I bought this harness for a wedding I was shooting. I am 5'1 and was concerned it wouldn't fit. Well this was the perfect size for my small frame. It worked like a charm and you can secure the camera in two places in case one lock fails. It was comfortable and I was able to use it for several hours without any pain. highly recommend this.

[0.35 lb] I bought this Large Lens Pouch to help attach my large Sigma lenses for my Nikons to my Hold Fast Solo camera strap. The large is fine for most of my lenses, but my Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 Sport is a size too large for that lens. The combination of the lens cap and the tripod bracket means it only works if I cram it into the pouch. If I do that, then it's a bear to extract the lens from the pouch. It's fine with the Sigma 100-400mm Contemporary, the Sigma Sigma 85mm f1.4 Art and the Sigma 40mm f1.4 Art, which are all large, heavy lenses.
