This 50mm f/1.2 lens is designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras and provides a 100mm equivalent focal length.

Bright, fast f/1.2 maximum aperture benefits working in difficult lighting conditions and also avails extensive control over shallow depth of field.

Two aspherical elements help to control chromatic and comatic aberrations in order to achieve greater sharpness and clarity.

An Ultra Multi-Coating has been applied to all lens elements in order to suppress lens flare and ghosting for increased contrast and color accuracy.

This manual focus lens has a non-rotating 62mm front filter mount to better enable the use of polarizing, graduated ND, and other filter types that require precise positioning.

Rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing out-of-focus quality when using selective focus or shallow depth of field techniques.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. So if FL is 50 on an APSC lens, FL is smaller on a full frame. So what is 75mm referencing in the stats?

A: The TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Sony E (Black) is physically 50mm in focal length which does not change. When used on an APS-C camera with a 1.5x crop factor, this is the equivalent of 75mm on full frame because of the crop factor.

Q: 2. Will this lens work on a GH4 with a Metabones EF to M43 adapter

A: Yes, this lens will be compatible with the GH4 using a Canon EF mount to Micro Four Thirds camera adapter.

Q: 3. How does the manual focus work? Is it fast?

A: What body do you have? I have a Fuji X-T1..So manual focus would work a different way than on a Sony.

Q: 4. Is the lens hood removable?

A: Yes, the hood is bayonet mounted, can be removed and reverse mounted for more compact storage.

Q: 5. Hi, is this a clicked/stopped aperture ring, or "clickless"? Thanks

A: Yes, the aperture ring has a subtle click.

Q: 6. can i use this lens for a sony a6000?

A: The lens is compatible with the Sony A6000

Q: 7. Will this lens work on a Nikon Z7?

A: The TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 Lens for Nikon Z can fit on the Nikon Z7, but the lens is optimized for an APS-C sensor as found in a camera like the Nikon Z50. The image will be cropped and there will be a loss of resolution.

Q: 8. Are these lens compatible with Olympus OMD EM10 camera?

A: I really don't see why it shouldn't be. All of the Rokinons are manual focus, non electronic, and a micro 4/3 mount is a micro 4/3 mount. Same flange to sensor distance for all. No mirror to swing and hit a protruding rear element of the lens. Etc. perhaps Dave M could explain, please.petez

Q: 9. Is this lense compatible with my GH4 camera?

A: This lens will be compatible with the GH4.

Q: 10. Is this lens compatible with a Lumix G7?

A: Yes, the following lens is based on a micro four thirds unit.

[62 mm (Front)] What a bargain for a fast portrait lens with surprising IQ; decently sharp even wide open! Of course it’s fully manual but if you’re Ok with that you will like this lens!

[62 mm (Front)] This lens helps me to slow down and take my time to get a good compensation. The price was great for what it provides

[9, Rounded] Love this lens both on my Fuji aps-c and Panasonic/Olympus m4/3 cameras for general people and animal portraits and mild telephoto landscapes. Bokeh at open apertures is marvelous and at least as good as my best vintage lenses (some F1.2 and many f1.4), by Canon, Pentax, and Nikon. Might be liquidating some of those, given the new, crazy, used prices. Also, the TTartisans is much lighter and smaller, especially because of not needing an adapter. Highly recommended!

[Manual Focus] Nothing to add that hasn't already been stated but this is by far the best value for money lens I have ever used. I've come to realize that the game certainly has changed and buying $1000 lenses just for the name or that extra 5% of quality/rendering/etc. just doesn't make sense for many applications. While I bought this lens primarily as an interview lens for my GH5 I've also been having alot of fun with it slapped on my GX85. I've attached a recent photo that really shows what this lens is capable of.

[f/1.2] It's my very first manual lens and I'm happy with this purchase. I watched a few promo reviews on youtube and I knew what to expect. I love the solid build, aperture ring is very smooth and clicks are soft and nice. Focus ring is very smooth as well. It's a real pleasure to shoot! Picture quality is great and sharp enough starting from 1.8 There are some chromatic aberrations, but I'm fine with it, especially considering the price.

[Manual Focus] I'm maybe not as picky as other photogs (especially over $100 lenses) because I really think there is a lot of value in this compact and sharp lens. For one, I appreciate that the aperture ring clicks into place, most cheap manual lenses don't have that feature and it makes a difference to me when I'm out shooting on the street. It obviously has some weak spots like weight, chromatic aberration, vignetting, and image softness at f/1.2 but I see these more as fun challenges. If you do shoot at f/1.2 I suggest a minimum distance of 10ft to your subject but if you stop down to f/2 or f/4 the improvements to sharpness and vignette increase drastically. I often compare shots between this and my Viltrox 56mm f/1.4 and find it hard to tell the difference in sharpness when shooting at f/2. That's not a dig at the Viltrox, that's a boon for the TTArtisan. In all, there's no good reason to not have this lens in your kit unless you have no interest in shooting manual lenses.
