The transmitter runs on 2 AA batteries and works with the separately-purchased RR-16-A receiver which is powered by the host slave flash. [16] The Bolt P12 for my Canon SB-5000 is a must have. As a fashion photographer, I have not had to change the batteries on my SB-5000 since I got this. Wish I had it years ago. For BTS, Red Carpet, Step and Repeat and Portraits this is an amazing tool. Consistent fast refresh power when others are changing batteries. Worried? Don't. The side LED's indicate your power at all times. GREAT PRODUCT. Don't think about... JUST GET IT 5

[433 MHz] I use this with a Nikon SB-900. Without it, recycle time at full power is just over 2 seconds. With the Bolt, recycle time is less than 1 second at full power. 5

[2x AA] This transmitter is pretty nice, and a must for the Bolt USB flashes. It will not shoot HSS unless used with a tranmiter that has that feature. Normal camera sync speeds it performs very well. All in all very well built and seems to work as advertised. 5

[6 x 2.4 x 1.6"] Affordable. Takes a lot of batteries. No ports, so no charging the batteries in this pack. Batteries go into a clip, and slides in like loading a gun. Cord goes into Canon flashes, but flashpoint or third party ones don't have the port unfortunately. Button on the top that you hold down to turn on. Lights indicate general battery level. Nice unit. Does what it says it will. Nothing special. Comes with a little dorky pouch, probably just slide into a back pocket. Wire is a bit annoying if you're not used to it. First gig with it is Monday at the Last of Us premiere... wish me luck. @EclipticPhoto 5
