The Sensei Pro 72mm Adapter Ring for 100mm Filter Holderis designed to enable the use of a Sensei Pro 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder on a lens with 72mm front filter threads. Grooved edges along the outer rim of this adapter ring allow the compatible filter holder's alignment teeth to fit, which helps to ensure optimal positioning of the holder and the filters placed within it.

Aside from 72mm rear male threads which allow it to connect to a lens, the Sensei Pro 72mm Adapter Ring for 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder also features 86mm front female threads. That feature enables this adapter ring to accommodate a thin, 86mm round filter when used along with the Sensei Pro 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder. If a thin, 86mm round filter is used on the Sensei Pro 72mm Adapter Ring for 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder, the rectangular filter slot closest to the rear of an attached Sensei Pro 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder becomes unavailable. If a filter holder is not attached, the Sensei Pro 72mm Adapter Ring for 100mm Aluminum Universal Filter Holder may be used as a step-up ring, permitting the use of thin or standard 86mm round filters on lenses with 72mm filter threads. This adapter ring features a lightweight, aluminum-alloy construction that has a corrosion-resistant, black anodized finish for durability. A plastic case is included for transport.

[72 mm] These adapter rings are well manufactured and screw on smoothly. Theres not much else to say; it fits my ND filter frame and adapts it to a couple newer lenses I bought that take 62mm filters (I already had 55mm and 72mm adapters). I like the system so it was worth investing in this adapter for the new lenses. 5

[72 mm] The Sensei holder system is a dream to use for my landscape work. The 86mm filter threads allow me to easily use my filters with each lens while leaving the adapters on each lens. The threads also allow each lens to have secure 86mm caps. I just move the Sensei holder as needed. I use the thin B&W xs-pro kaseman htc polarizer but be aware that even this thin filter takes up 2 slots of space leaving only the third slot for ND filters in the holder when the polarizer is used. I am extremely pleased with the Sensei adapters as they save me time and money compared to others I have used. No vignette using the three slots even at 16mm ff canon. Believe me when screwing around in cold windy conditions this system is easier and faster to use than hitech and cokin. 5

[72 mm] For a new lens with a different filter thread size, I needed a new adapter for my Cokin P Series filter holder and this is exactly what I needed. I was concerned when ordering because the picture here does not quite match what I knew I needed (this is probably a picture of the 77mm adapter ring), but the actual product is indeed the right 72mm adapter and has a wider rim around the edge to bridge the gap between 72 and 77mm. This works for 72mm filter thread lenses. 5

[86 mm] I decided to explore the possibilities using the Cokin P filter system. I needed this ring to utilize my larger Olympus lenses. I have additional step rings which work very well on this. 5

[86 mm] Been using the old ones I just replaced since 1998 starting with my days photographing with Galen Rowell (who recommended this system for the neutral density filters he developed with Bob Singh). I’d say 21 years usage for the first one is worth five stars. If you don’t need the larger filter size these are great! 5
