Patterns, or gobos, are widely used by designers in theatre, film, photography and television to create atmosphere, project scenery, and generally enhance the visual impact of their lighting.

Conceived by some of the world's leading lighting designers, the Rosco range presently includes hundreds of standard steel gobo designs.

To insure design integrity the patterns are etched using a precise double-sided process on stainless steel. The result is durable, high quality patterns which will withstand the extreme heat at the gate of ellipsoidal spotlights.

Rosco steel gobos are round to allow for rotation in the gate when aligning the projected image.

The standard "B" size is suitable for most fixtures with a 6" lens when used with a Rosco Pattern Holder or the holders of other manufacturers.

Trimming of patterns, where necessary, can be easily accomplished with a pair of scissors.

Q: 1. Would that fit the Nanlite Projector (PJ-FZ60), as a replacement to use common B size gobos?

A: I contacted the manufacturer concerning your inquiry. According to the manufacturer, Nanlite states they do not think the Rosco Sandwich-Style Gobo Pattern Holder (B Size) will stay in place as the Rosco gobo holder appears to be too small and may move around when it is in the projection mount. A sandwich-style holder for the projection mount designed to hold B-size gobos is supposed to be in the works, but there is no release date for the holder at this time.

Q: 2. Can I specify size M for Rosco steel gobos that say they are available in standard sizes?

Q: 3. Does this fit Forza projector BH #NAPJFZ6036?

A: The Rosco Standard Steel Gobo #7287 - NYC Skyline - Size B 86mm is size B, which is not the same size as the Nanlite Projector Mount for Forza 60 and 60B LED Monolights (36°), https://bhpho.to/37ES29c. Q: 4. Can these be used with studio flash? I have Bowens fit flash units

A: While this particular gobo size would not work with a strobe, you can purchase the Bowens Universal Spotlite Attachment B&H # BOUSA and the size M version of the gobo, B&H# RO77139M to project the pattern on your Bowens strobe head. Please see the images below.

Q: 5. Will this work in an old Bowens Monospot?

A: Yes, this is compatible with the Bowens Monospot.

Q: 6. Is this a M sized gobo?

A: The Rosco Standard Steel Gobo #7259 is a standard "B" size is suitable for most fixtures with a 6" lens when used with a Rosco pattern holder or the holders of other manufacturers.

Q: 7. Is this gobo steel or stainless steel? in other words, will it work with a magnetic flash system?

A: Yes, the Rosco Standard Steel Gobo #7932 - Stars 6 is stainless steel.

Q: 8. will this fit a profoto B1 or Elincrom?

A: Unfortunately, this gobo would not fit Elinchrom or Profoto flash heads. It is only suitable to a light fixtures which accept gobo holders and uses a lens tube for projection.

Q: 9. Is size A for the 600d pro? Where can I find the diameter in mm?

A: The Aputure Spotlight Max 10-Piece Gobo Kit (Size A) features gobos that are 3.9" / 100 mm in diameter. They are compatible with Aputure spotlight mounts.

Q: 10. would this fit in the wescott or godox kits?

A: Both Westcott and Godox make projectors that use the Size M Gobo like the Rosco Standard Steel Gobo #7730 - Palm - Size M 66mm (B&H # RO77730M).

[0.045 lb] Really only good for a straight-in focus. Stick with pinhole gobo stars unless you have the straight-in shot. This is the genuine Rosco article at a good price. 5

[7 x 4.85 x 0.1"] I am going to use this to cast a shadowon a white background. (High Key)I will not use this until May or June, however I know from past experience it will do just what I need it to do. Nice product. 5

[Fire/Waves] When I purchased this Gobo I wasn't 100% sure from the picture that I was going to be using this one as much as I have. Its pattern is very symmetrical which allows it to be used in a variety of situations. I usually cut the sides of the pattern and just use the center as a background in interviews and to liven up the background of any scene that just needs some soft hits. 5

[0.045 lb] I purchased this for the kids ministry at our church. The 1st - 4th graders come together for their story time in our chapel. The back wall is huge and we have had a hard time finding ways to decorate it. I found these and they are perfect! The kids love the images that are projected on the back wall. It's been a great (and easy) way to fill up all that dead space on the wall. Thanks! 5
