Designed for short-throw projectors, the Da-Lite 27967 IDEA Panoramic Whiteboard Screen 59.5x192from Da-Lite 27967 IDEA Panoramic Whiteboard Screen 59.5x192is designed to cover the wall of a classroom, is hotspot-free under projection, and is magnetic. It can be used with an ultra-short throw projector as an interactive screen or as a conventional whiteboard with dry-erase markers. Q: 1. I see that it's 13 ft wide, but that is when it's flattened, correct? What does it measure at its widest point when set up in a C shape? I have a small room I hope to fit it in.

A: The middle section is 6.5 feet, & The wings are about 3.5 feet.

Q: 2. Can the sides fold tighter than in the photo; for example, can they fold in to 90 degrees to fit into the corner of a room standing up and cover two walls at the same time?

A: Yes but the fabric becomes more loose.

Q: 3. Is this white panoramic background cover see through? Or is it pretty thick?

A: It is opaque. You can't easily see through it.

Q: 4. Can you light it from behind? OR how easy is it to light vs traditional seamless paper? Spill?

A: I contacted Lastolite with your inquiry. The manufacturer states that the Lastolite Panoramic Background (13', White) is not opaque, so light will pass through it. However, the construction of the fabric would prevent it from working like a diffuser such as the HiLite. The weave is tight and dense, so while some light would get through, it would not transmit a lot of light and it would most likely result in a hot spot rather than spreading and distributing the light across the surface like diffuser fabric would.

Q: 5. I need a good chromakey for a corporate client who want to do their own Software Tutorials, with two presenters. Will this backdrop be suitable for video chromakey, with two people behind a trade-stand and a coupel of laptops? How do the creases chromakey (where the two angles are) get removed in the editor? I've only tried chroamakey once for video years ago, with a cheap cloth green screen, and results were not very good in the editor.

A: The background is stretched on the frame. Properly lit you will not have to worry about wrinkles or the angles of the background.

Q: 6. This is 7.5 inches tall. I know that can be a bit short depending on how tall the subject is. I there any way possible that I can purchase two of these and place one ontop of the other?

Q: 7. Is this item interchangeable with Manfrotto Green Chroma Key FX Portable Background Cover, BH #MAMLBG4301CG?

A: No, the Manfrotto Chroma Key Green Cover for the 13' Panoramic Background is a different size from the BH #MAMLBG4301CG.

Q: 8. Is this made up of one (78x78 ) and two (42x78 ) Lastolite rapid frames?

A: According to Lastolite, while the frames are similar in design to the Lastolite Skylite frames, they are not the same frames. The frame in the Lastolite Panoramic Background is larger than the Skylite frame as it is 89 inches (7 feet 5 inches) tall.

Q: 9. Is it green on both sides or is the back of it black?

A: It is only green.

Q: 10. How long is the back panel between the two pivot joints? When you fold the sides forward at 45 degrees, does the material sort of bend evenly or flow, or does it create a visible up/down crease at the pivot point?

A: As per the manufacturer, the middle panel is 2 meters wide or 6.6 inches while the outer panels are 1 meter wide or 3.28 inches wide. The material does bend evenly as you fold the frame.

[50°] From an installers point of view, this screen really is nice. Install a top and bottom rail and the screen slides over the rails for an easy installation. The screen snaps to the rear of the frame for a very tidy and clean cut appearance. High quality frame, packaged well, easy to install... a good deal all the way around. 5

[IDEA] This was the forth 9X12 dalite screen that we have purchased. We also have several 6X8's. We use them for PR meetings in various churches and schools around the US. Dalite screens are excellent! The newer fast fold frames are bigger and built stronger and the easy release latches work extremely well and you no longer need to fight the frame to put it together and take it apart. I often get assistance from a local person at the meeting and they are always amazed at how it all folds together and fits into the case. THe cases are much too big, I think and I have taken them and cut them down so they don't use up so much storage space. 5

[Front] Screen is being used in a 40 x 40 foot room with a 7.2 theater system. The projection screen is over the stage and is long enough to extend down and up out of the way when not in use. If the light were not in the way, I could have moved the screen even higher. 5

[50°] I use it in a classroom at a university. It's got a great surface, brilliant white, big and more than I expected. It looks like a big LCD screen on the wall, way cool. 5

[2.5] We used the screen at our annual and special town meeting and found that it was better than anticipated. the powerpoints were projected so all could see no matter where they sat at our meeting. I couldn't be happier and worth the price. 5

[Front] I have used this Da-Lite screen for the past 3+ years. This is actually my second purchase. Compared to some brands and products, the price is reasonable. The design is solid, great for portable use and easy to setup. However, it weights close to 70 pounds. A great product nonetheless. 5
