Q: 8. How does this charger prevent overheating with two terminals / pins? The "T" terminal which measures thermal data from the battery is clearly missing from this charger. Seems like misleading marketing.

A: There have been no reported issues of overheating on this charger.

Q: 9. if I am in a remote location with an external power source, can the usb be used to connect to the power source to charge the battery?

A: No - the available power sources to charge batteries on the Watson charger are mains power or cigarette lighter - the USB on the device is for output only to change tablet/mobile phone.

Q: 10. Is it safe to leave the batteries charging overnight in this charger? Will it turn off once they've reached full capacity?

A: Yes the Duo Charger does turn off once charged. It is recommended you unplug it before handling the batteries.

[Lithium-Ion] I like Watson dual photo chargers enough to have purchased at least 6 of them. I appreciate the internal power supply with an easily replaceable AC cord. The display shows the state of charge and its progress - perfect. Best of all, the plates are replaceable for use with many types of 7 volt video batteries. I have never had an issue with their operation in over ten years of use. 5

[4400 mAh] If you are like me and want to have extra batteries with you on every shoot AND a way to charge them efficiently, then look to further. This charger is an absolute MUST BUY for me, especially when getting a new camera body. The ability to charge 2 batteries at once with a nice digital display showing charge status is AMAZING. I bring this (1 for each camera) with on EVERY shoot. 5

[0.5 lb] Can recharge two batteries at a time, gives you visual feedback, and has an extra USB-C charger port. I use them with with genuine Sony batteries. 5

[Lithium-Ion] Like the small form factor and LCD screen that displays battery percentages. You add/remove the plates by pushing down and sliding in/out. Charges x2 FX3 Batteries (FZ100) or x2 S5IIX batteries in approx 3hrs. Note you need different plates to charge the S5IIX's blk22 batteries. These: BH #WAPDMWBLK2 Good quality and price. Saves you time. Easy to add/remove batteries. Confusingly, the bhphoto website describes the watson FZ100 charger (duo charger with fz100 plates) as FW50, but when I ordered the FZ100 charger, it came w the FZ100 plates, like I wanted. Works great for both batteries, with the correct plates. Charges fast. Small. Good Display. Great. 5

[Lithium-Ion] Great deal. Swappable plates that aren't a ton of money - and they have most every battery plate for this system. My 3rd unit. Still have the other two. As we've grown the number of items that require batteries we just add more of these. Fantastic product. 5

[Sony L-Series] I purchased this so that I could always have both of my batteries on the charger while the other one was in my camera for shooting. It's about 30% bigger than the Sony charger, so I don't notice much of a difference while packing in my case. Having the USB port on the side of the charger is surprisingly helpful as well. It supplies a decent amount of power output for most things! My favorite thing about this charger is that you can plug a battery into the charger without being connected to power to see your battery's voltage. 5
