Q: 1. Would I be able to use an iPhone 11R camera with this setup while using an iPad for the teleprompter software?

A: This is not designed for use with an iPhone. It is geared towards a camera with a lens extending out of the body so it can properly fit with the hood.

Q: 2. How well does the auto focus work with a dslr through the prompter glass?

A: That really would depend on the camera you are using and how its auto focus system reacts. If you are using a DSLR with a strong Video AF and the glass is kept clean, it should work well. But that really is something you'd have to test out to see the results.

A: This Prompter uses a tablet up to 10 inches wide for the image it is reflecting. You can see how that tablet is connected better in this photo.https://bit.ly/2NXhGtCIf you can find a monitor that is only 10 , we do not sell such a monitor from GeChic currently, you could then use that in this prompter and have that monitor connected to a computer running Prompter Software.

Q: 4. How big is the base plate for the tablet? We need a base plate that will legitimately hold a 12 x 9 tablet and not be forced to fit like with the Ikan Elite Pro system

A: The exact size of the base plate for the tablet is not listed. However the do list that it works with tablets up to 12 inches diagonally. If you have the 12.9" model of the iPad Pro, it will not fit.

Q: 5. Can you use a laptop to to send the text to the iPad?

Q: 6. Can you adjust the angle of the glass? I have found that some ipad teleprompters are at too small of an angle and only work well if you're within a few feet of the subject.

A: No, the angle of glass cannot be adjusted. We've only used the prompter once but using 18mm Zeiss Compact Prime on Sony FS7, we were shooting 12' from talent. I did notice that the top 1/4 of the prompter screen is pretty much a throw away because of the angle of glass but for $300+ range and packs away in under a minute AND fits in a laptop case...it's the compromise.

A: The opening can accommodate a lens diameter up to 114mm (4.5 inches).

A: If you order the 15mm version, it comes with an attachment that not only takes the 15mm rods but also has a 1/4-20 screw hole.
