The Shinybow SB-5684K 8x4 UHD 4K HDMI Matrix Switcherallows you to route 8 HDMI inputs to 4 HDMI outputs with one preview output in different configurations. Any input can be routed to any output, to all outputs, or to a combination of outputs. All outputs feature a built-in video booster, which makes them capable of sending 1080p video over cable lengths of up to 98' and 4K2K video up to 66'.

The switcher supports resolutions up to 4K, including 1080p/i, and 3D video, and up to 36-bit color depth. It also features 8 modes of EDID management (7 embedded and 1 external). Routing selections can be controlled via the front panel, included remote control, RS-232 serial control, or Ethernet (via a controller). An RS-232 Windows GUI interface is included for RS-232 control. An IR Extender Receiver Set supporting 984' of IR distance is included for remote control of the switcher from the room with the displays. A rackmount set is supplied for installing the switcher in a 1 RU 19" rack.

The HDMI connections support 5.1 and 7.1 channel surround sound audio, MAT (MLP), Dolby Digital, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital Plug/ex, DTS, DTSES 6CH, DTS-HD, DTS-HD-HRA, DTS-HD Master, DTS-EX, PCM, PCM2, and LPCM2.

A: This is for composite and S-video only. It's for switching up to 4 cameras. We use 4 Sony EVI-D70 PTZ cameras for city council & township meetings. See videos at kittv online videos for quality.

[7.7 lb (3.5 kg)] I use a Logitec Harmony hub control for TV, cable TV, Netflix, music from Internet sent to amplifier and speakers, etc. The Shynybow selector (love that name) has very little conflict with other IR controlled devices, a problem I had with previous audio or AV switches. Out of the 4 inputs, only input no 1 control would conflict with the TV on/off. That left inputs 2,3,4 for which IR commands did not interfere with other devices (I only need 2 inputs in my setup). Great. Works well. 5

[38 kHz] The SB-5440 solved my RCA switching problems. The unit is of very solid build. Great quality switches and connectors. No pops when used. Unit is quiet and just feels professional. This replaced my Rotary passive selector, which at times would pop while selecting. No more, the Shinybow works flawlessly. I thought it a bit pricey, but I see now it was good value, it's a pleasure to have good, solid equipment in my system, working properly everyday. 5

[1 RU] I had two problems to solve. I wanted to be able to switch between game consoles without turning my entire CRT around to access the S-video port in the back. I also wanted a splitter to output to a capture card for live streams. This does both those things, and it does so without any noticeable loss in quality or added latency, at least to my eyes. 5

[38 kHz] This is awesome. Passes all signals from SDI inputs to SDI outputs. Easy to navigate. I've bought three of these already and we are now adding them to estimates for clients. Cost thousands less competitors. If you need 12x12 or 20x20 go with Black Magic Design, if you only need 8x8, use this one instead! 5

[38 kHz] In our DIY built video studio I use this switch to easily jump from Audio input to Audio input to a single headphone. I had used a cluster of AB switches that just got replaced with this switch. Life is good. The price is right and the performance is excellent. 5
