Q: 5. I just purchased this TTN503 VINYL 500 to use my Apple HomePods via Airplay 2. I was told compatibility would be 100%. True?

A: Yes, the Yamaha MusicCast VINYL 500 Wireless Two-Speed Stereo Turntable (Piano Black), B&H # YATTN503BL, can be connected to the Apple HomePod, but it may not connect automatically. You may need to connect the turntable to an Apple iPhone or Mac computer via AirPlay, and then use AirPlay to stream from one of these devices to the HomePod.

Q: 7. Does this allow saving in 24bit or Hi-Fi format?

A: This turntable features typical analog line or phono outputs, as well as modern hook up options, such as Bluetooth input and wireless output through Yamahas' MusicCast app to their wireless speakers. This is not a USB turntable for digitizing vinyl, so no files are saved. You can connect the RCA outputs to an audio interface, such as the Behringer UFO202 - USB 1.1 Digital Audio Interface, BH #BEUFO202, and digitize your records with software, and make them in a file type of higher resolution than mP3.

[1.55 lb] Yes, this pedal is pretty cool! I particularly like the orchestra and choir voices, though the rest are interesting too. I got it, added it to my pedal board, and tried it out at a gig. Audience members were looking around trying to figure out where all the orchestral sounds were coming from. My bandmates thought it was hilarious that our scrappy garage band suddenly had this new big production sound.

[100 mA] I've had my Korg SP-250 keyboard since 2009, and when the sustain pedal that came with it started to die, I was so worried! So I'm extremely relieved and happy B&H had it in stock. The delivery was swift, and it works perfectly!

[1.55 lb] Best chorus I've played. Limited range but sounds so good. The modern 9v plug is a bonus.

[1.55 lb] The Electro Harmonix Platform Compressor is a fantastic stereo compressor pedal that works quite well. It runs on a standard 9-volt pedal power supply that it comes with. I used three of them for a live techno set I was doing. I had a Roland TR-8, Roland TB-3, and Novation Circuit all synced and running together. I had Platform Compressors on the stereo out of each piece of gear and they worked perfectly. They were very reliable but I did have a user error once which I will mention so you can avoid it. The Swell knob got bumped and my attack times began fading in completely throwing off the timing of the TB-3. I couldn't figure out what happened till after my set. So be careful to not hit this knob mid performance. To remedy this possibility, I used electrical tape to hold my knob settings in place after this incident and never had this issue again. The Platform Compressor is fantastic for the money and for the functionality. Stereo compression has never been more convenient with the Platform Compressor.

[100 mA] Easy to get classic overdrive and muddy modern tones. Somewhat lead tones can be achieved by pushing mids with a tube overdrive pedal or eq. Great pedal overall.

[FCC] First of all, this pedal has so many features and applications. Four different octaves, attack, and low-pass filter (I don't use the detune much, but others probably would get some mileage out of it), plus a built-in presets footswitch. One note: if you are powering your pedalboard with a dedicated pedal power supply, only certain combinations of power supply and pedals will work if you include the POG2. Do some research online if you already have a pedal power supply or if you will add one in the future. Even though this was a special delivery order and not something that B&H carries in stock, B&H delivered very quickly.

[FCC] well, I have dozens of pedals, but this one still amazes me from the first day I bought it. spectacular slow down feature, selectable waveforms, 16-step sequencer, envelope, presets, tap tempo (along with tap-in port), expression support, tons of subdivisions... well, it just does everything, in STEREO, and still it's all analog. can be really as slow and as lighting-ring-mod-like fast as you want: the rate button works like a gear switch for precise adjustments. also, we all know EHX doesn't look good at times, but the visuals we got here are just awesome, sorts of retro spaceship with those leds on top (those don't only look nice, but also an important part of its UI). real candy to look at. there's only one con: the thing isn't small and won't fit small boards, but at least all the controls are visible, no hidden settings etc. Devs at EHX could make it smaller and even save some money on electronic parts, but it's big by design: both features and sounds wise.

[FCC] The EHX series of organ pedals are a breath of fresh air in an industry that seems content recycling the same basic stompbox designs. You can get a wide range of sounds that go from subtle organ texture to bizarre voicings. Having a dry signal out is fantastic for players like me (bass) who want to keep an uneffected signal to my bass rig. Meanwhile I can run the organ sounds into a separate amp and/or series of pedals and tweak to taste. I'm not sure I'll use it in a live setting much, but its a blast to record and play with.
