Part of the ULX-D wireless series, the Shure ULXD4 Wireless Receiver 902-928 MHz X52houses a single digital receiver in a rugged half-rack unit with an external power supply.

The ULX-D Series simplifies the set up and management of large numbers of wireless systems. It is ideal for professional sound reinforcement applications in large live venues and houses of worship, as well as A/V installations in conference, educational, and corporate facilities. Compatible with a wide selection of Shure transmitters and mic capsules, it delivers pristine 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio, capturing every detail with clarity, accurate low end, and crisp transient response.

The ULX-D operates in the UHF band, utilizing Digital Predictive Switching Diversity to protect the transmission from interference, delivering rock-solid RF signal stability without audio artifacts. In Standard mode you can run up to 17 channels per 6 MHz TV channel, at a range up to 330'. Alternatively, the High-Density mode lets you run up to 47 channels per 6 MHz TV channel, at a maximum range of 98'. The system offers AES-256 encryption for security.

The unit features audio and RF meters, 60 dB of gain control, and both XLR and 1/4" outputs. A large LCD screen and intuitive controls let you quickly make adjustments, even in low-light situations. Additional features include automatic frequency scanning, IR sync, gain optimization to match any input source, and internal limiting to prevent clipping.

The Ethernet port allows multiple receivers to be easily networked together for simplified frequency coordination and deployment via Shure's Wireless Workbench software. In addition, the Channels Mobile App enables you to control the system remotely from an iOS device.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the receiver transmit static when the mics are turned off?

A: Whether a receiver creates noise while unpaired to its correlating transmitters is not a specification that manufacturers make known. In theory, the receiver in the Nady DW-22 HTHT Digital Wireless Microphone System should not present any extra noise when not paired to the microphone transmitters. However, as this device operates on open channels, it is susceptible to RF activity in the surrounding area, which could manifest as audible static noise.

Q: 2. Can you use 2 of these units with one body pack transmitter. Use case would be put one receiver on camera for monitoring and one receiver into audio recorder as a way of having redundancy in recordings.

A: Yes, two Sony URX-P40 Camera-Mount Wireless Receivers can be used with a single transmitter, as long as both the transmitter and the receivers are set to the same wireless channel.

Q: 3. Does this receiver have a warranty with it and if so, how long does it last and what does it cover?

A: Many Sennheiser products, including the Sennheiser EM 100 G4 Wireless Receiver have a Limited 2-Year warranty. You will find the specifics of the warranty terms and conditions here: https://en-us.sennheiser.com/service-support-services-warranty-conditions

Q: 4. Can you confirm the channels/frequencies? I need Ch D15/D16 (915.30 and 916.80).

A: Since the Nady Dual Channel Digital Handheld/Lapel/Headset Bodypack Wireless System is available by special order only, you can place the order by phone or contact us through live chat and specify the frequencies that you need so we can order it for you.

Q: 5. Is it compatible with the old Sony UTX-B2 Transmitter? If not, Are there any modern receiver compatible with the Sony UTX-B2 Transmitter? Can these Sony devices be used with Nikon DSLR or Nikon Z cameras?

A: Yes, the URX-P40 receiver is backwards compatible for use with an older UTX-B2 transmitter as long as both components operate within the same frequency band. The receiver can be used with Nikon DSLR or Z cameras

Q: 6. Can I access a copy of the manual?

A: The Manual for this Logitech G X52 H.O.T.A.S Throttle and Stick Simulation Controller would be on the right side, under the what's in the box section

Q: 7. Does this work with the ew 100 g3 body pack?

A: Yes, the EM 300-500 G4 receiver is compatible with G3 series transmitters.

Q: 8. What are the choices of frequencies. Already have 915.30 aand 916.80?

A: The entire DW-22 series are 900mHz: https://bhpho.to/3gpl5Qh

Q: 9. does this stick work with the 2021 Microsoft flight simulator ?

A: This will work with Microsoft Flight Sim.

Q: 10. Could this system be used as an audio mic for a battery powered speaker (everse 8)via an car input cable

A: You can use a DC power cable from the receiver of the Nady DW-22 or the Electro-Voice R300, connected to the DC Power Out port on the Electro-Voice Everse 8 speaker.

[1] Added this to a mix of other wireless mics, this channel covers flutes/penny whistles. Linked with a ULDX1 & Beta 54, reproduces the very subtle tonal qualities of flute type instruments. I received immediate positive feedback from our congregation. Setup was effortless. Battery life has been very good. Integration with the sound board was very simple with default gains.

[25 kHz] We have purchased a few of these plus the base. We had some happy parishioners who say this worked better than their hearing aids! We also got some headsets for people to wear over their ears if they wanted to.

[DHCP, Manual IP] Wow, as a touring musician, I am hard on gear and always buying and selling gear to find out exactly the best product! When it comes to In Ear systems, CAD is the only way to go! The clarity is unreal, 2 antennas provide better range, less interference, and is better than many other systems I have used over past 15 years! Plus, CAD customer service is amazing! I use many of their products and rarely had an issue, if there was, CAD took care of it asap!

I live the 4 unit one rack space design, keeps everything nice and tidy and compact! When CAD first announced this product, I couldn't wait to get my hands on it, and now I am getting another system for my other rehearsal space!

[Tabletop] I'd love to recant my previous review of this product. Bought it, used once and had issues the second time with some serious feedback. After speaking with Glenn on this matter, I realized it was my own fault that resulted in feedback. Looking through the box I did not see the antenna (oops lol), disconnecting the system and having Glenn walk me through step by step I realized this very rookie mistake. Once we got it hooked up, body packs set to the same channel, and antenna hooked up as designed the system began working fantastic! Very very simple system to use. Really feel silly for that ridiculous error on my behalf lol will continue to work with CAD and Glenn for the foreseeable future! Excited to get this system on the stage!
