The PG58 dynamic capsules feature a cardioid polar pattern that minimizes background noise and feedback. The built-in spherical wind and pop filters reduce plosives for clear and intelligible speech.

The durable BLX2 handheld transmitters offer a lightweight, ergonomic design, and are comfortable to hold. Group- and channel-selection buttons allow for quick and simple frequency matching with the receiver. Other features include an easily accessible on/off button, adjustable gain control, and a black identification cap. The WA621 Color ID Caps kit containing assorted colored caps is available as an optional accessory.

The BLX88 receiver employs a microprocessor-controlled internal antenna diversity feature to improve the quality and reliability of your wireless audio. Two LED displays show group and channel settings, while four LED lights indicate when the system is ready for use and the strength of the incoming audio signal. The unit offers two 1/4" and two XLR outputs for connectivity to PA systems and mixing boards.

Shure offers a BLX1 bodypack transmitter compatible with a variety of lavalier, instrument, and headset microphone options to adapt your BLX system as your needs evolve.

  • The discrete MX153 sub-miniature earset mic and the CVL lavalier mic both provides exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • The PGA31 is a comfortable, durable headset microphone for active performance.
  • Instrumentalists can attach the WB98H/C flexible gooseneck instrument microphone for brass, woodwind, and percussion applications.
  • The WA302 guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a way to use this on an a7siii with the xlr-k3m adapter?

A: The receiver in this Sony wireless system will connect to the Sony XLR-K3M audio adapter, using the included 3.5mm to XLR-male output cable. This would be an excellent wireless audio solution for the Sony a7SIII camera.

Q: 2. Can both mics (a handheld and lav) be used at the same time?

A: No the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System is a single channel combo system. You can only use one mic at a time. You would need to buy a dual channel system if you wanted to run 2 mic's with one receiver.

Q: 3. I know these have a 3.5 mm jack but has anyone had any experience with using these for making wireless PA systems with speakers?

A: The Shure PSM 900 Wireless Personal Monitor System with SE425-CL Earphones would not be recommended for use with speakers, as the beltpack's output impedance is intended for connection to headphones, not a standard line input. A system like B&H # ALSTLTHMK2X would be recommended instead.

Q: 4. What about the Microphone operating mode ? is it mono or duel channel ?

A: The microphone is Mono. I simply convert after to stereo.

Q: 5. Is the transmitter and receiver one-to-one paired connection? In other words, can I add another receiver to get the same signal from the same transmitter?

A: The Shure PSM 900 Wireless Personal Monitor System can be expanded for an unlimited number of users by adding additional P9RA+ Wireless Bodypack Receivers that operate on the same frequency band as the transmitter. This particular system operates on the G6: 470 to 506 Hz band so you will need to use B&H # SHP9RAPEMG6. If you want the same headphones that are included with the original system, they are the Shure SE425 Sound Isolating In-Ear Stereo Headphones - Clear (B&H # SHSE425C.L).

Q: 6. Will this be compatible with the older SMAD-P3 MI Shoe adapter or only the newer SMAD-P5 adapter?

A: Yes it will. It's backwards compatible with the older UWP systems as well.

Q: 7. Is this compatible with newer Canon hot shoe for mounting receiver directly to camera for digital audio transfer?

A: No, the Sony URX-P40 Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver included with the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System is not compatible for digital connection to a Canon camera. It will only work in that manner with certain Sony cameras equipped with Sony's Multi Interface shoe. The URX-P40 receiver will connect to the microphone input on the Canon camera using a cable.

Q: 8. can both mics operate at the same time or does one have to be shut off for the other to work?

A: Both microphones in the Samson Expedition XP310w 10" 300W Portable PA System with Wireless Handheld and Lavalier Microphone Kit can be used simultaneously. The XP310w has two wireless receiver slots, one of which is empty upon purchase. This kit bundles a second wireless microphone and receiver for installation and use with the original speaker and microphone all at the same time, if desired.

Q: 9. Do these work over Dante?

A: This Shure PSM 900 Wireless Personal Monitor System with SE425-CL Earphones kit does not provide any Dante connectivity.

Q: 10. Does the UC90 need a FCC license to operate in the US?

A: No, you do not need a license to operate the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System (UC90: 941 to 960 MHz) within the US.

[Analog UHF ] Just installed these in a homebuild sound system for our church and they work great! Receiver sits inside the wooden cabinet of our A/V desk and plugs into a Mackie 1604 for mixing before hitting an AFS, then amp, then speaker. Setup was simple with the briefest of glances at the instructions I was able to search for an open channel, set the mics to the matching channels and boom working great. They've got good pickup, low noise, little feedback, and strong reliable signal all throughout the desired service area.

[100 dBA] Great high quality mics, with two independent receivers in a single package it's a great way to get two high quality wireless mics with only one power connector. I tried using a single unit rack mount with four receivers as a space effective solution for wireless mics but unfortunately that didn't work well in my space, so I upgraded to this system. Only two mics instead of four and not a rack mount, but still a good compact solution with MUCH higher quality mics. Receiver is only slightly larger than a single unit receiver. Each unit has independently programmable group and channel, as well as output. But only one power cable needed. It might be nice if there were a combined output connection rather than treating each mic as a separate input to the mixer, but that's a minor issue given the overall high quality of the system.
