The PG58 dynamic capsules feature a cardioid polar pattern that minimizes background noise and feedback. The built-in spherical wind and pop filters reduce plosives for clear and intelligible speech.

The durable BLX2 handheld transmitters offer a lightweight, ergonomic design, and are comfortable to hold. Group- and channel-selection buttons allow for quick and simple frequency matching with the receiver. Other features include an easily accessible on/off button, adjustable gain control, and a black identification cap. The WA621 Color ID Caps kit containing assorted colored caps is available as an optional accessory.

The BLX88 receiver employs a microprocessor-controlled internal antenna diversity feature to improve the quality and reliability of your wireless audio. Two LED displays show group and channel settings, while four LED lights indicate when the system is ready for use and the strength of the incoming audio signal. The unit offers two 1/4" and two XLR outputs for connectivity to PA systems and mixing boards.

Shure offers a BLX1 bodypack transmitter compatible with a variety of lavalier, instrument, and headset microphone options to adapt your BLX system as your needs evolve.

  • The discrete MX153 sub-miniature earset mic and the CVL lavalier mic both provides exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • The PGA31 is a comfortable, durable headset microphone for active performance.
  • Instrumentalists can attach the WB98H/C flexible gooseneck instrument microphone for brass, woodwind, and percussion applications.
  • The WA302 guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. is there something on the device that would make it introduce hiss into the transmission? I recently bought one. Tested it with 2 identical senheiser boom mics requiring 48v phantom. One sounds great, the other has a major hiss. Tried it on several other mics (57s/58s) and nothing. The "bad" mic works 100% when wired.

A: 1. Make sure to scan for the best frequencies to use before every session. 2. Try lowering the gain

Q: 2. Can you turn off the auto-gain mode and control gain manually?

A: Yes, auto-gain can be disabled for the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System.

Q: 3. After connecting this to the Sony A7S III and selecting 24-bit two channel mode in camera I recorded several clips. However, after importing the clips into FCPX on my 2019 MacBook Pro, I realized that none of the clips had audio. Even in Sony’s own Catalyst Browse software, no audio can be played back, but in this instance white noise is all that is heard. Audio plays back fine in camera; Switch to 16-bit and audio can play back as normal in all software. So it seems 24-bit audio is not supported. Are there plans to address this? Btw... Sony makes no mention of 24-bit audio in the A7S III manual, even though the option appears in the cameras menu.

A: Based on the manual, this camera has the ability to record in 24 bit only if using accessories that support 24 bit audio through the Multi-Interface shoe. If connecting the receiver of this system to the camera via the 3.5mm jack, then the camera can only record in 16 bit audio. Please note that while there is an available MI Shoe adapter for the URX-P40 receiver in this wireless system, the A7SIII is not specified as supporting it for use.

Q: 4. Will it work with the Sony PXW-FS5M2 ?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 5. Can both mics (a handheld and lav) be used at the same time?

A: No the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System is a single channel combo system. You can only use one mic at a time. You would need to buy a dual channel system if you wanted to run 2 mic's with one receiver.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with newer Canon hot shoe for mounting receiver directly to camera for digital audio transfer?

A: No, the Sony URX-P40 Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver included with the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System is not compatible for digital connection to a Canon camera. It will only work in that manner with certain Sony cameras equipped with Sony's Multi Interface shoe. The URX-P40 receiver will connect to the microphone input on the Canon camera using a cable.

Q: 7. If I bought 2 of these, could I run all 4 mics simultaneously without frequency interference?

A: Yes, you can run up to 10 transmitters at the same time with these systems.

Q: 8. Is there a separate XLR out for each channel?

A: Yes, the Sennheiser EM-XSW 1 Dual-Channel Stationary Receiver has separate XLR and 1/4" outputs for each channel.

Q: 9. Will there be a dual lav single reciever package with this new mic?

A: Hi, James! Good day! There should be in the future but Sony has not said anything yet. Regards, Erin

Q: 10. I was advised this could be synced with the zoom recorders like h6. How would that work?

A: This will work woththe Zoom without a problem. Simply plug the 3.5mm to XLR cable into the output of the receiver and the input of the Zoom recorder.

[5.15 lb] This is a Great product. We Had another wireless systems that had come recommend to our church. But all we had was issue after issue. Even sent it back 3 times to the Manufacture. So we decided to purchase this item and we couldn't be happier it works as advertised and clear vocals with no feed back.

[Handheld] I got these for a Sunday school class so those participating via live streaming could hear class member's responses to questions posed by the class leader. We also hooked the system up to the local PA system so people in the class could hear better too. The scanning feature found good, distortion free frequencies quickly and we had minimal issues with feedback even though the mics were used in front of the speakers. I considered going with the Beta 58 mics, but these are only being used for speaking and worked just fine for a lot less.
