The black, redesigned Manfrotto MT190XPRO4 Aluminum Tripod XPRO Ball Head 200PLfrom Manfrotto MT190XPRO4 Aluminum Tripod XPRO Ball Head 200PLbuilds on the success and popularity of the previous 190 series with professional hardware and convenience features that make it even easier to use than its predecessor.

Set up is faster than ever with Manfrotto's Quick Power Lock System that allows you to completely extend the tripod legs with just one hand. Once set up you can use the MT190XPRO4's rapid center column in standard vertical mode or swing it into horizontal position like a boom with Manfrotto's 90° Column feature. Enlarged tabs on the individual leg angle selectors allow you to get down to only 3.2" for macro work with the column in horizontal mode. And once you're down there you can attach any of Manfrotto's flexible or articulated arms to hold lights or reflectors via the Easy Link plug built into the tripod's spider.

Convenience features include grippy, rubber leg warmers on two legs for cold or inclement weather and a bubble level that rotates so that you can see it easily regardless of the tripod's position. Finally, Manfrotto's insistence on form following function has yielded a tripod that you'll not only be happy to use but you'll be happy to be seen with, too.

The Quick Power Lock (QPL) system is one of the most eye-catching and unique features of the redesigned 190. It is a strong, ultra fast, ergonomic locking system that allows for complete extension of the legs with one hand.

One of the most innovative aspects of the 190 series is its compactness, which allows for easier portability. The redesigned patented 90° Column is accessible whenever you need it with simple one finger operation.

The plug allows instant connection between tripod and accessories, such as LED lights for macro photography and DSLR video applications using Manfrotto articulated arms and brackets.

The bubble is easy to read, whatever the shape of the head or however the tripod is positioned. Just rotate it towards you for easy viewing.

Each leg has user selection of four angles to accommodate uneven ground or rough terrain. The selectors are manufactured according to most innovative ergonomic standards to prevent fingers and nails being trapped in the upper casting.

The entire shape of the tripod has been modified and made more manageable and stylish. The complete redesign of its functional elements shows a particular attention to aesthetics and details: the brand name, for example, appears in many sections of the new 190, including the two legwarmers made of comfortable rubber to provide a secure grip and prevent the conduction of heat and cold in extreme weather conditions.

[Flip Lock] Manfrottos time and money invested in R&D on this tripod shows in its overall design: well built,  well thought out, convenient details, good materials. Not too much, not too little -- perfect for the middle grounder. All components are easy to adjust. The ball head is revolutionary: if you havent experienced the ease of a ball head design you are in for a pleasant surprise. Money well invested.

[3/4] I bought this particular tripod because I was looking for a tripod that was sturdy enough to handle my 70-200 mm lens, the heaviest one I own. Prior to this tripod, I'd only used the $50-100 ones from Best Buy, which I knew wouldn't work too well for a lens of this size.

When my Manfrotto arrived, set up was pretty easy; just had to read the directions carefully. But it holds my camera perfectly.

Because there's some weight to it, whenever I use it, I feel like it's very secure, even on a grassy hill. If you can afford it, this is a good one to get!

[5.4 lb] I will keep this short and honest. I have only had this tripod for a few weeks, so i cannot yet address long-term reliability. That said, i have owned various other tripods such as a Leitz Tiltall (decades ago) and various medium to low quality tripods since then. For me, the Manfrotto MT190XPRO4, which included the Manfrotto BHQ2 XPRO Ball Head is technological work of art; a true pleasure to use. Another reviewer helped me to decide on this combination with a comment about how when you lock the ball head down it stays locked down with no play or drift; so far i have found that to be very true and a joy to use when compared to less expensive and more poorly engineered tripods. The panning function as well as the friction control on the ball head both seem -at least at this point in time- flawless and easy to adjust, When compared to some other tripods-both higher and lower quality- this tripod and specifically this ball head seems like a winning combination at a fair price. The fact that it came from B & H Photo gives me additional peace of mind due to their fast, quality customer service

[63" (160 cm)] I bought this tripod because it was described to have arca-swiss compatible plates. It does NOT have arca-swiss compatible plates. It's still a great piece of equipment, just feels terrible spending this much on something that works with other gear and not getting what you need in the end. 5 starts for the tripod...1 for b&h.

[Yes] Been using it a while and still works great for me. Solid. Not as light as others out there but that doesn't bother me and it's good quality for the price.

[63" (160 cm)] This replaces an old Bogen by Manfrotto I purchased in 1994. Very strong with a great ball head. Best of all the sale price!

[3.2" (8 cm)] I have had a few other models from different companies and I have found that this tripod will stand the test of time as the others broke within a year or two. I would recommend this product to anyone. It is a bit on the heavy side though.

[4] First off I was looking for a tripod I could take on long hikes as I do a lot of nature photography and having a sturdy platform was key. Is this the lightest tripod out there, no. I originally wanted carbon fiber legs but due to dud get constraints I opted for the manfrotto over the oben (carbon fiber) tripod system. I did take this on an extended hike through rolling hills and it's weight didn't slow me down one bit. I love the versatility of this system and the ball head is solid. Please give this tripod a thought if your looking for a versatile system that will allow you to shoot from low positions to higher positions.

[4] I am a novice photographer and wanted a good tripod for my d850. After reading multiple reviews i bought the 190xpro4 with the bhq2 ball head. I love this tripod. It feels sturdy and is easy to operate. I have mounted my camera with 500mm lens and the tripod is very stable with the heavy lens. The 200pl mounting plate is easy to use. Thanks B&H for prompt shipping and good service
