[2.155 lb] I use the Denecke PS-2 with a Tascam 2-channel digital recorder to power my condenser mics. The Tascam has phantom powered XLR input jacks, but the internal phantom power supply is so weak it won't work with mics that draw more than about 2.8 mA. I have many high-quality mics that need more current to function. The addition of the Denecke PS-2 makes it possible for me to use those mics with the Tascam recorder. When powering (2) quality mics that each draw 4.2 mA, the PS-2 will run for 3.5 to 4 hours per new 9v. alkaline battery. The voltage is stable and absolutely noise free. The PS-2 is very well made and does exactly what it's intended to do. 5

[2.155 lb] I recently purchased a Lav wireless mic system so i can use it as a wireless XLR cable to place microphones where a cable can not be ran practically as I do video for live productions. However the Lav system does not support phantom power, enter this unit. It solves that issue where now i can place a Mic remotely and supply it with phantom power. I use it with those small USB phone chargers, so it is battery powered and lasts a LONG LONG LONG time on a single charge so no issues on that side. 5

[2.155 lb] This little phantom power supply is great. Very low noise (I can't tell that it adds any) and battery lasts an entire evening which is perfect for location recording. Built better than military specs. I'll bet it lasts the rest of my life. 5

[2.155 lb] I'm using this to power a Countryman e6i head-worn mic and feed the house PA. Two channels means I'll be able to get a barrel converter and power my 12v type-T 415 simultaneously. Great for situations where I'm working without a mixer or with a mixer that doesn't have phantom power. The unit is light, sturdy and the battery couldn't be easier to access and replace. 5
