A: That wire is about 6 feet long and is bare wire on the end. You use those wires to add the connector type needed for your application. In my case I added a XLR connector so a wireless transmitter could be used. That same connection could be attached to audio jacks built in to the floor that feed a sound system.

Q: 3. I use my tripod mostly for video. I'm looking to buy another because mine (a cheap one bought at that store that start with a 'W'... and ends in a 'T') pans so poorly. Does this one pan smoothly? Up and down. Side to side. And it looks like it has a crank handle that makes the head move up or down as the handle is crank. Is this correct? Thank you!

A: This tripod does a decent job panning and tilting, especially if you are on a tight budget. It works the best with small to medium sized camcorders (i.e. a Canon XA20). I've used these tripods for filming interview videos and conferences. It definitely does a better job than any cheaper tripods without fluid heads!

A: This is not a compatible QR plate for the Voyager Lite tripod; we don't have a compatible QR plate for that tripod.

A: Contact Davis and Sanford directly (aka Tiffen). I own two D&S tripods, the Fusion and another one. On my other one, the quick release latch broke off and I searched high and low for a replacement. Didn't have any luck so I contacted Tiffen. They sent me a new latch no questions asked.

A: The FUSION TLC Raven Flash Trigger for Canon needs a receiver for it to work. If your Paul Buff light has a receiver it should work.

Q: 8. I have a Sony A7r plus a Sony flash HVL-43M. Will this product work? Any alternative I could consider?

A: The mounts on this version of the FreeWave are for the older Sony hotshoe style, not the universal shoe found on your equipment. Because this is a manual triggering system and not TTL you can use either the Canon or Nikon version for your equipment (i.e. B&H # VERFWC), the only thing you wouldn't be able to do is connect the transmitter to the camera with the supplied proprietary cable. You can connect the transmitter to the hotshoe of your Sony without a cable and it will be fully compatible with your equipment.
