Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. If I used a m42 adapter for a Tair-3s 4,5/300 to attach this teleconverter to my d200 or 3200 would it work?

A: This Nikon teleconverter is compatible with any Nikon DSLR camera. It is only compatible with select Nikon lenses as listed/linked in the overview and would not be compatible with an M42 adapter or other lenses/adapters not listed in that link.

Q: 2. I have a nikon 80-200 zoom 2.8 lens , and a nikon d 90 camera which televerter should I get

A: The Nikon TC-20E III converter is not compatible with the standard version of the Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 lens unless you have the AF-S version of it. For the non-AF-S version we recommend the Kenko Pro 300DGX 2X teleconverter. See the link below for details:http://bhpho.to/193ZSVW

Q: 3. How is the photo quality and autofocus speed when used with 600mm fl and D850?

A: I'm an employee and I tried it in the store (I'm sure you won't be using it in indoor retail environments) but in a brighter outdoor sports/birding/wildlife area it should perform well. It pushes it down to f/8, but the images are still sharp.

Q: 4. what is the difference between teleconverter and macro extension tube?

A: A teleconverter effectively increases the focal length of a lens and decreases its aperture. So, for example, with a 2x teleconverter, a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens becomes a 140-400mm f/5.6 lens. The range of distances over which the lens will focus does not change.A macro extension tube allows a lens to focus closer (usually much closer) than it would otherwise, at the cost of making it impossible to focus on things that are far away. It does not change the lens' focal length or aperture.

Q: 5. Does this work on a AF-S Zoom-Nikkor 80-200mm f/2.8D IF-ED?

A: Yes, it is compatible with the 80-200.

Q: 6. I have a Nikon D810 and will use with a lens Nikor 200-500mm. Are they compatible?

A: I have D810 and have used it with the 600 mm F4. It retains the auto focus even with smaller aperture. The image quality is equivalent to the 150-600 mm Tamaron I have, but not as sharpe as the prime.

Q: 7. Can I use 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR with TC-20E III?

A: i have no clue.....ask B&H.....they have a technical staffer!

Q: 8. Hello everyone. I would like to get the teleconverter for a Nikon D800 and Sigma 70x200 f2.8 OS2...... will this work all right? Thanks in advance, Marcelo

A: Hi Marcelo, I don't think it will work with Sigma 70-200 f2.8 OS2. If you look at Lens Compatibility in the site you will see that all lens it works is Nikkor (original). It is very delicated. I hope I help you. Alda

Q: 9. I have an older D200 with the first 70-200 2.8 VR Im wondering if the TC20E will work with both of them?

A: Yes, the Nikon TC-20E III 2x Teleconverter for AF-S & AF-I Lenses is fully compatible for use with the Nikon AF-S VR Zoom-NIKKOR 70-200mm f/2.8G IF-ED lens. The Nikon TC-20E III 2x Teleconverter for AF-S & AF-I Lenses is compatible with all Nikon DSLR cameras, including the Nikon D200 DSLR camera.

Q: 10. Has anyone tryed to use the 2.0 nikon teleconverter on a 70-200 f2.8 and change the crop to DX? will it still work with autofocus?

A: I believe the answer is yes. I switched the combined 70-200 f2.8 lens from my D750 to my D7000 which is a DX camera the auto focus worked normally. I've been pleased with the 2.0 teleconverter and glad I chose the 2.0 rather than the 1.2.

[Neoprene] Well designed, well made product. Fits tripod legs perfectly. Pricey. Make sure you measure the length and spec the diameter of the leg section in order to order the correct set.

[0.075 lb] Like the velcro instead of camo tape or slip overs, can easily remove, if you don't need the camo, or want to change colors, or course, protects your tripod investment from dinges and scratches, which will always affect the resell price.

[0.075 lb] Tight fit, conforming nicely to the L-arm. Comfortable grip. Much better than holding onto cold metal!

[Neoprene] Others have mentioned that these wraps don't fit RRS tripod legs perfectly, and that's true. They are designed for Gitzo legs, which are slightly larger in diameter. I knew there would be a bit of an overlap when I ordered them, so I bought some inexpensive velcro cable ties to cinch them down. It works great - see photos (2 legs with ties, 1 without to show the overlap). The wraps are typical LensCoat quality and should provide good protection and padding for a long time.

[Neoprene] Easily wraps around my RRS TVC-34L tripod legs using the velcro strips on the wraps. The rubber lined wraps won't slip or slide on the legs either. They attach in seconds. I highly recommend this product.
