A: The only difference is in the shape of the pad. The pad construction and the connectors are all the same. As the Utility version has a curved pattern, it is designed primarily for the left shoulder which is most common. It can be worn on the right shoulder but you'd need to purchase a set of Gender Changers so that the orientation of the strap can be changed to function properly. The Super Classic Sling can be worn easily on the left or right shoulder as it uses a straight pad design. They are both extremely comfortable so it's merely a matter of perference.

Q: 2. I'm looking for a cross body strap that does not allow the camera to swing around while hiking mountain trails (i.e. uneven terrain). Is this strap able to be cinched tight enough for camera to stay in place?

A: It's a great strap but since I let it hang loose at this point I would say that my camera does move around a lot.To resolve that problem I would get get another set of Uni Loops Connectors and then you can attach your camera to a connector attached to a belt loop and it will hold it in place. Go with the regular Uni and not the XL.

A: You can still use the E-Z Grip Strap when using an L-bracket; however, you wouldn't need the base plate that comes with the E-Z Grip Strap since the tripod mount area is being used to attach your L-bracket. Instead, you would need to be able to attach the 3/8" webbing of the E-Z Grip Strap to your L-Bracket.
