Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the keyboard illuminated?

A: No, the Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and Numeric Keypad and Magic Trackpad Kit (Black) does not feature illuminated keys.

Q: 2. Does anyone use a high-end phantom powered based mic with this - I noticed this unit doesn't power the mic? I am trying to configure this and need assistance or guidance in the right direction. Thanks in advance!

A: I used a higher-end mic which needed to be powered with this PBX system. I used an $89 mixer in between them. Worked like a charm-Tko

Q: 3. Could this be connected to a Zeus Intercom matrix?

A: B&H does not support the Zeus Intercom matrix and I am unable to definitively answer your question. However, I am able to advise you in general. Intercom systems, though many have 3 pin XLR connectors for audio, are actually wired differently and have 30V running down the cable. Connecting from an intercom's loop-thru may be detrimental as this signal can potentially burn out an audio device such as the JK Audio Host. Some intercom systems provide a standard analog audio out. If the Zeus intercom matrix falls in this category, you may connect it to the JK Audio broadcast Host.

Q: 4. Is this good for phone interviews?

A: I think it is, have been using it for radio stories, solid.

Q: 5. Can I use this keyboard with my old wired mouse. Or, do I have to get a new magic mouse? Thank you.

A: I don't see why a wired mouse would interfere with a wireless keyboard. I can say I have the Magic Mouse and track pad and love them both, so if you're inclined to purchase either one I'd say go for it.

Q: 6. I am experience a clicking noise when I feed an audio signal through the THAT2 unit. Any recommendations on how to resolve that noise? or suggestion on different equipment.

A: Clicking is often from telephone line. Try using the line input, as a test to see if its clean, then you know its the phone line.

Q: 7. Is this compatible with flip phones? If not, is there a compatible product here?

A: The CellTap 4C is compatible for use with cell phones that have a 3.5mm TRRS jack for connecting headphones with an inline microphone. Use a 3.5mm TRRS to 3.5mm TRRS cable to connect the phone's output to the "Phone" input on the CellTap and connect your headset to the CellTap's 3.5mm TRRS "Headset" jack. Use a 3.5mm TRS to 3.5mm TRS aux cable to connect the CellTap's "Record" output to your recording device or mixer.

Q: 8. can i choose the keyboard in Spanish version ?

A: B&H only stocks US QWERTY layouts for the Apple Magic Keyboard & Mouse B&H Kit B&H # APMLA22LLAK.

Q: 9. Can i use this as an IFB with an G3 wireless?

The question I have is how do I adapt the 3way 3.5mm jack into an audio in and out cable for use with the JK unit?

A: On the JK unit, 1.Insert 1/4 inch 3 conductors jack to (wireless Phone Hand set Jack) on the unit and the other end with 4 conductors jack to your cellphone.2.Insert XLR female to (From Phone Mic Level) on the unit and the other end of XLR male to Mic input on your audio mixer.3.Insert XLR male to (Line Input) on the unit and the other end of XLR female to Main out or Phone on your audio mixer. Both sides will have to use microphones connected to their audio system to speak instead of your cell phone.

[USB] If you like a keyboard with a full keystroke and good tactile and audible feedback, this is an excellent choice. The feel of the keyboard is very similar to the old IBM PC keyboards. The only thing I miss are the home row indicators on the "F" and "J" keys... the little dot or bar protrusions that let your fingers know they are in the correct position (this keyboard doesn't have them, but it wasn't enough of a shortcoming to lower the overall rating).

[2.48 lb] No bling, no extra USB hookups, no media keys, just a good basic mechanical keyboard!

[2.48 lb] I use my keyboard at the office for everyday typing. The dedicated buttons for music and volume worked upon plugging in the computer with no additional software installation required. The keyboard is very comfortable. It's not an ergonomic one, but the keys work as expected and are gentle to operate so it's easy on my hands. My one comment is that the legs in the back are very low and I prop it up on an extra 1 binder in order to achieve a comfortable angle.

[USB] This keyboard is well designed and well built. No frills. No colors. Pure function. I like the feel and sound of the keys.

[USB] This is a beast: solid, beautifully made keyboard with excellent audio controls all grouped together on the right with a wonderful, large volume dial. Typing is FAST with great tactile feedback. I gave up on thin, wired keyboards for the Mac from three other vendors--they don't hold up. The only thing missing is the hot key for widgets--solved by using hot corners in OS. If you need something robust, reliable with great key feedback--this is it. It sounds cool, too--love that mechanical key strike. Not one thing flimsy in this board.

[Maximum 100 mA] The keyboard is actually pretty heavy, underscoring its sturdy construction.  The keyboard is exactly what I was looking for - the same feel as that IBM keyboard I had 15 years ago, just keys and no mushy feel.  My typing is faster and more reliable.  I have only had the keyboard a month, but the construction seems to be very solid, and key spacing is perfect for quick touch typing.  Highly recommended!

[2.48 lb] This is my second Das Keyboard 4 Professional--the first went to my wife's computer when I rebuilt and upgraded it. This latest model is equipped with the new footbar that has rubber feet, a great improvement in eliminating the tendency for the keyboard to slide around. I contacted Das Keyboard about purchasing the new footbar for our first keyboard. They responded by agreeing to ship one free of charge.

The only downside to these keyboards is the ABS keys will wear shiny and the letters dim after awhile. The solution is purchasing a set of Doubleshot PBT key caps from WASD Keyboards.com. PBT keycaps don't wear and the letters fade as with ABS keycaps and will permanently restore the keyboard to its original glory.

[Maximum 100 mA] I'm a programmer and have had a CM Storm for 10 years. The printing was wearing off and I decided I was due for a new keyboard. I had a coupon and decided to get a Logitech g915. Big mistake. That's a bad keyboard. Short keystrokes, and seems very vulnerable to windows updates (Loses connectivity except for the volume wheel and requires a reboot to fix). Gave the Logitech to my wife ;-) and got the Das for me. Perfect in every way.

[Maximum 100 mA] Purchased the blue switch before this and was just too clicky for me. This one is a perfect tactical keyboard, responsive, comfortable, and beautiful.

[USB] This was just what I was looking for. The Keys have a great feel and feedback when typing on. There is also a clicking sound that is very good. Love this keyboard.
