The WB98H/C miniature condenser microphone clamps onto the bell of wind instruments or onto the rim of percussion instruments. It features a cardioid polar pattern that helps reject unwanted noise in loud environments. The integrated gooseneck and ratcheting swivel joint allow the microphone to be easily positioned and secured, and an isolation shock-mount reduces the transmission of instrument key noise and other mechanical sounds.

The durable BLX1 bodypack transmitter offers a lightweight, ergonomic design that is comfortable for the musician to wear. Group and channel selection buttons allow for quick and simple frequency matching with the receiver. Other features include an easily accessible on/off switch, adjustable gain control, and a TA4M 4-pin input jack.

The BLX4 receiver employs microprocessor-controlled internal antenna diversity to improve the quality and reliability of your wireless audio. An LED display shows group and channel settings, while two LED lights indicate when the system is ready for use and the strength of the incoming audio signal. The unit offers 1/4" and XLR outputs for connectivity to PA systems and mixing boards.

Shure offers a variety of lavalier, instrument, headset, and handheld microphone options to adapt your BLX system as your needs evolve.

  • The discrete MX153 sub-miniature earset mic provides exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • For fitness instructors, the SM31FH is a rugged, moisture-repelling headset microphone designed to stay secure and comfortable during active performances.
  • The CVL lavalier mic offers low visibility and clear vocal reproduction for discreet applications.
  • The WA302 guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.
  • The BLX2 handheld transmitter is available with three different mic capsules for presenters who prefer the flexibility of a handheld microphone.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. After connecting this to the Sony A7S III and selecting 24-bit two channel mode in camera I recorded several clips. However, after importing the clips into FCPX on my 2019 MacBook Pro, I realized that none of the clips had audio. Even in Sony’s own Catalyst Browse software, no audio can be played back, but in this instance white noise is all that is heard. Audio plays back fine in camera; Switch to 16-bit and audio can play back as normal in all software. So it seems 24-bit audio is not supported. Are there plans to address this? Btw... Sony makes no mention of 24-bit audio in the A7S III manual, even though the option appears in the cameras menu.

A: Based on the manual, this camera has the ability to record in 24 bit only if using accessories that support 24 bit audio through the Multi-Interface shoe. If connecting the receiver of this system to the camera via the 3.5mm jack, then the camera can only record in 16 bit audio. Please note that while there is an available MI Shoe adapter for the URX-P40 receiver in this wireless system, the A7SIII is not specified as supporting it for use.

Q: 2. What power level goes with which region? The SPECS says, RF Output Power10, 20, 30 mW Note: varies by region . What power level do I get if I live in the US?

A: The RF output for the US region is 30mW.

Q: 3. Is there a limitation on where in the country I can use this wireless set?

A: If referring to use within the United States, the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System (UC25: 536 to 608 MHz) is able to be used throughout. The only limitations may come when attempting to use within privately owned locations, such as a sports venue with specific wireless permissions and coordination.

Q: 4. How to adjust volume on actual mic

A: At this time, we can not find an available manual for this item to guide you. In general for most wireless systems, there should be a level control option in the menu of the receiver where you would adjust the output signal up or down.

Q: 5. Can multiple receivers be used simultaneously to get the same signal?

A: Yes. An unlimited number of bodypack receivers can tune in to the transmission of one transmitter provided all units are of the same frequency band.

Q: 6. Will there be a dual lav single reciever package with this new mic?

A: Hi, James! Good day! There should be in the future but Sony has not said anything yet. Regards, Erin

Q: 7. Is there a way to use this on an a7siii with the xlr-k3m adapter?

A: The receiver in this Sony wireless system will connect to the Sony XLR-K3M audio adapter, using the included 3.5mm to XLR-male output cable. This would be an excellent wireless audio solution for the Sony a7SIII camera.

Q: 8. Is the transmitter and receiver one-to-one paired connection? In other words, can I add another receiver to get the same signal from the same transmitter?

A: The Shure PSM 900 Wireless Personal Monitor System can be expanded for an unlimited number of users by adding additional P9RA+ Wireless Bodypack Receivers that operate on the same frequency band as the transmitter. This particular system operates on the G6: 470 to 506 Hz band so you will need to use B&H # SHP9RAPEMG6. If you want the same headphones that are included with the original system, they are the Shure SE425 Sound Isolating In-Ear Stereo Headphones - Clear (B&H # SHSE425C.L).

Q: 9. I have been told that the Shure PSM 300 Twin-Pack is capable of being used as a wireless speaker system like the SENNHEISER Wireless Speaker System 5 which consists of 1 Transmitter and 2 Receivers. Please let me know if that is doable. I have always wondered if it will damage the speakers or not thanks?

A: Yes, essentially you could use the PSM 300 Twin-Pack as a Wireless Speaker System. They are NOT meant for this purpose, but if the proper cabling is used, proper gain staging, and you have proper line of sight this should cause no harm to the speakers.

Q: 10. Does the UC90 need a FCC license to operate in the US?

A: No, you do not need a license to operate the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System (UC90: 941 to 960 MHz) within the US.

[ABS] I have now purchased 4 of these fine headset systems for use on our 7 indoor tennis courts located in 2 buildings I needed a system that would give me plenty of choices for frequencies and also a lot of transmission range due to the large area.I also needed a system that I could count on to work first time every time. Once I set these up and got everything synced I have really not had to do anything other than change batteries in the transmitters. They have worked great and at a reasonable price point.
