The PGA31 headset condenser microphone is built for comfort and clear vocal reproduction. It features a cardioid polar pattern that helps reject unwanted noise, and a tailored frequency response optimized for speech intelligibility. The flexible gooseneck design with discrete adjustment options let you position the microphone for further source isolation in loud environments.

The durable BLX1 bodypack transmitter offers a lightweight, ergonomic design that is comfortable for the presenter to wear. Group and channel selection buttons allow for quick and simple frequency matching with the receiver. Other features include an easily accessible on/off switch, adjustable gain control, and a TA4M 4-pin input jack.

The BLX4 receiver employs microprocessor-controlled internal antenna diversity to improve the quality and reliability of your wireless audio. An LED display shows group and channel settings, while two LED lights indicate when the system is ready for use and the strength of the incoming audio signal. The unit offers 1/4" and XLR outputs for connectivity to PA systems and mixing boards.

Shure offers a variety of lavalier, instrument, headset, and handheld microphone options to adapt your BLX system as your needs evolve.

  • The discrete MX153 sub-miniature earset mic provides exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • For fitness instructors, the SM31FH is a rugged, moisture-repelling headset microphone designed to stay secure and comfortable during active performances.
  • The CVL lavalier mic offers low visibility and clear vocal reproduction for discreet applications.
  • Instrumentalists can attach the WB98H/C flexible gooseneck instrument microphone for brass, woodwind, and percussion applications.
  • The WA302 guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.
  • The BLX2 handheld transmitter is available with three different mic capsules for presenters who prefer the flexibility of a handheld microphone.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does the UC90 need a FCC license to operate in the US?

A: No, you do not need a license to operate the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System (UC90: 941 to 960 MHz) within the US.

Q: 2. How many receivers can run off of one transmitter?

A: The answer is an unlimited number. Opposite the way we think about performance wireless systems (a 1:1 ratio of a single microphone being picked up by a single receiver), in personal monitoring what we are doing is broadcasting your desired monitoring mix to any number of people that need to to hear it. The scenario is similar to creating your own short-range radio station in which any number of individuals who want to listen in can do so by tuning in their own personal radio to the same station. Therefore, with PSM 300 (just as with any personal monitoring system) you can use an unlimited number of desired bodypack receivers with attached earphone to listen in to the same transmitter base unit.

Q: 3. Can you use any XLR microphone - AKG, Sennheiser, Rode, Shure - with the plug-in transmitter, or does it have to be a Sony mic?

A: The Sony UTX-P40 Wireless Plug-On Transmitter included with the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System can be used with just about any XLR microphone, whether it is a dynamic or condenser style mic, and regardless of the brand.

Q: 4. Will there be a dual lav single reciever package with this new mic?

A: Hi, James! Good day! There should be in the future but Sony has not said anything yet. Regards, Erin

Q: 5. Can you use a sharkfin antenna to increase the range of the transmitter if you needed a distance further than 300ft?

A: Adding a PA805SWB antenna will achieve abut 300', line of sight. It is possible, in ideal conditions to achieve over 300'. To insure 300+ feet, the PSM 900 offers higher power transmitter. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1442222-REG/shure_p9trap425cl_g6_psm900_personal_monitor_system_rackmount.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/584718-REG/Shure_PA805SWB_PA805SWB_Directional_Antenna_for.html/specs

Q: 6. I have been told that the Shure PSM 300 Twin-Pack is capable of being used as a wireless speaker system like the SENNHEISER Wireless Speaker System 5 which consists of 1 Transmitter and 2 Receivers. Please let me know if that is doable. I have always wondered if it will damage the speakers or not thanks?

A: Yes, essentially you could use the PSM 300 Twin-Pack as a Wireless Speaker System. They are NOT meant for this purpose, but if the proper cabling is used, proper gain staging, and you have proper line of sight this should cause no harm to the speakers.

Q: 7. could I use one transmitter with multiple receiver?, all on the same channelone director and 3 crew videographers

A: The transmitter unit will support an unlimited amount of receivers as long as they match the frequency of the transmitter. For this system, it would be the Shure P3R-H20. See B&H# SHP3RH20 or the P3RA-H20, B&H# SHP3RAH20

Q: 8. Is there a limitation on where in the country I can use this wireless set?

A: If referring to use within the United States, the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System (UC25: 536 to 608 MHz) is able to be used throughout. The only limitations may come when attempting to use within privately owned locations, such as a sports venue with specific wireless permissions and coordination.

Q: 9. Is there a way to use this on an a7siii with the xlr-k3m adapter?

A: The receiver in this Sony wireless system will connect to the Sony XLR-K3M audio adapter, using the included 3.5mm to XLR-male output cable. This would be an excellent wireless audio solution for the Sony a7SIII camera.

Q: 10. I was advised this could be synced with the zoom recorders like h6. How would that work?

A: This will work woththe Zoom without a problem. Simply plug the 3.5mm to XLR cable into the output of the receiver and the input of the Zoom recorder.

[2.805 lb] I have now purchased 4 of these fine headset systems for use on our 7 indoor tennis courts located in 2 buildings I needed a system that would give me plenty of choices for frequencies and also a lot of transmission range due to the large area.I also needed a system that I could count on to work first time every time. Once I set these up and got everything synced I have really not had to do anything other than change batteries in the transmitters. They have worked great and at a reasonable price point.
