Q: 1. Can a system like this one be had for under $700 with a configuration of one TX and 2 (to 3) RX. It won't be used for a stadium but for an in-home event, within the restraints of a home's short distance. headphones will be purchased separately.

A: The Shure PSM 300 system will be over the budget, but we do have other systems from other manufacturers like the VocoPro IEM-Digital 4 Wireless Stereo In-Ear Monitoring System (B&H # VOIEMDIG4), the Galaxy Audio AS-950-4N 4-Pack Any Spot Series Wireless Personal Monitoring System - N Band, 518-542 MHz (B&H # GAAS9504N), the CAD GXLIEM4 Quad-Mix In-Ear Wireless Monitoring System - T: 902 to 928 MHz (B&H # CAGXLIEM4), the Nady PEM-04 Wireless 4-Person In-Ear Monitoring System - 903 to 928 MHz (B&H # NAPEM04), and the Xvive Audio U4R4 Wireless In-Ear Monitor System with Four Receivers - 2.4 GHz (B&H # XVU4R4), which are all systems for up to four users. For two users, we have the CAD GXLIEM2 Dual-Mix In-Ear Wireless Monitoring System - T: 902 to 928 MHz (B&H # CAGXLIEM2), the Xvive Audio U4R2 Wireless In-Ear Monitor System with Two Receivers - 2.4 GHz (B&H # XVU4R2), the Galaxy Audio AS-1100-2N Wireless In-Ear Twin Pack Monitor System - N: 518 to 542 MHz (B&H # GAAS11002N), and the Nady PEM-02 Wireless 2-Person In-Ear Monitoring System - 903 to 928 MHz (B&H # NAPEM02).

Q: 2. can both mics operate at the same time or does one have to be shut off for the other to work?

A: Both microphones in the Samson Expedition XP310w 10" 300W Portable PA System with Wireless Handheld and Lavalier Microphone Kit can be used simultaneously. The XP310w has two wireless receiver slots, one of which is empty upon purchase. This kit bundles a second wireless microphone and receiver for installation and use with the original speaker and microphone all at the same time, if desired.

Q: 3. What power level goes with which region? The SPECS says, RF Output Power10, 20, 30 mW Note: varies by region . What power level do I get if I live in the US?

A: The RF output for the US region is 30mW.

Q: 4. After connecting this to the Sony A7S III and selecting 24-bit two channel mode in camera I recorded several clips. However, after importing the clips into FCPX on my 2019 MacBook Pro, I realized that none of the clips had audio. Even in Sony’s own Catalyst Browse software, no audio can be played back, but in this instance white noise is all that is heard. Audio plays back fine in camera; Switch to 16-bit and audio can play back as normal in all software. So it seems 24-bit audio is not supported. Are there plans to address this? Btw... Sony makes no mention of 24-bit audio in the A7S III manual, even though the option appears in the cameras menu.

A: Based on the manual, this camera has the ability to record in 24 bit only if using accessories that support 24 bit audio through the Multi-Interface shoe. If connecting the receiver of this system to the camera via the 3.5mm jack, then the camera can only record in 16 bit audio. Please note that while there is an available MI Shoe adapter for the URX-P40 receiver in this wireless system, the A7SIII is not specified as supporting it for use.

Q: 5. could I use one transmitter with multiple receiver?, all on the same channelone director and 3 crew videographers

A: The transmitter unit will support an unlimited amount of receivers as long as they match the frequency of the transmitter. For this system, it would be the Shure P3R-H20. See B&H# SHP3RH20 or the P3RA-H20, B&H# SHP3RAH20

Q: 6. is there something on the device that would make it introduce hiss into the transmission? I recently bought one. Tested it with 2 identical senheiser boom mics requiring 48v phantom. One sounds great, the other has a major hiss. Tried it on several other mics (57s/58s) and nothing. The "bad" mic works 100% when wired.

A: 1. Make sure to scan for the best frequencies to use before every session. 2. Try lowering the gain

Q: 7. I have been told that the Shure PSM 300 Twin-Pack is capable of being used as a wireless speaker system like the SENNHEISER Wireless Speaker System 5 which consists of 1 Transmitter and 2 Receivers. Please let me know if that is doable. I have always wondered if it will damage the speakers or not thanks?

A: Yes, essentially you could use the PSM 300 Twin-Pack as a Wireless Speaker System. They are NOT meant for this purpose, but if the proper cabling is used, proper gain staging, and you have proper line of sight this should cause no harm to the speakers.

Q: 8. How many receivers can run off of one transmitter?

A: The answer is an unlimited number. Opposite the way we think about performance wireless systems (a 1:1 ratio of a single microphone being picked up by a single receiver), in personal monitoring what we are doing is broadcasting your desired monitoring mix to any number of people that need to to hear it. The scenario is similar to creating your own short-range radio station in which any number of individuals who want to listen in can do so by tuning in their own personal radio to the same station. Therefore, with PSM 300 (just as with any personal monitoring system) you can use an unlimited number of desired bodypack receivers with attached earphone to listen in to the same transmitter base unit.

Q: 9. Is there a limitation on where in the country I can use this wireless set?

A: If referring to use within the United States, the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System (UC25: 536 to 608 MHz) is able to be used throughout. The only limitations may come when attempting to use within privately owned locations, such as a sports venue with specific wireless permissions and coordination.

Q: 10. will the URx P40 work with a UTX-P03 Transmitter?

A: Yes, the Sony URX-P40 Camera-Mount Wireless Receiver from the Sony UWP-D26 Camera-Mount Wireless Combo Microphone System is compatible for use with Sony UTX-P03 Plug-On Transmitters operating on the same frequency range.

[Manual] I have now purchased 4 of these fine headset systems for use on our 7 indoor tennis courts located in 2 buildings I needed a system that would give me plenty of choices for frequencies and also a lot of transmission range due to the large area.I also needed a system that I could count on to work first time every time. Once I set these up and got everything synced I have really not had to do anything other than change batteries in the transmitters. They have worked great and at a reasonable price point.
