The WB98H/C miniature condenser microphone clamps onto the bell of wind instruments or onto the rim of percussion instruments. It features a cardioid polar pattern that helps reject unwanted noise in loud environments. The integrated gooseneck and ratcheting swivel joint allow the microphone to be easily positioned and secured, and an isolation shockmount reduces the transmission of instrument key noise and other mechanical sounds.

The durable BLX1 bodypack transmitter offers a lightweight, ergonomic design that is comfortable for the performer to wear. Group and channel selection buttons allow for quick and simple frequency matching with the receiver. Other features include an easily accessible on/off switch, adjustable gain control, and a TA4M 4-pin input jack.

The BLX4R receiver employs a microprocessor-controlled antenna diversity system to improve the quality and reliability of your wireless audio. The receiver can be rackmounted with the included hardware, allowing you to position the two removable antennas on the front of the rack for optimal signal reception.

The LCD display shows group and channel settings, and allows you to meter audio level and signal strength. An LED indicator even lets you keep an eye on the transmitter's remaining battery life. The unit offers 1/4" and XLR connectors with adjustable output level for flexible connectivity to PA systems and mixing boards.

Shure offers a variety of headset, instrument, and handheld microphone options to adapt your BLX system as your needs evolve.

  • The discrete WL185 lavalier mic provides exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • The SM35 is a comfortable, durable headset microphone for active performance.
  • The WA302 guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.
  • The BLX2 handheld transmitter is available with three different mic capsules for presenters who prefer the flexibility of a handheld microphone.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How to adjust volume on actual mic

A: At this time, we can not find an available manual for this item to guide you. In general for most wireless systems, there should be a level control option in the menu of the receiver where you would adjust the output signal up or down.

Q: 2. Does this transmit/receive a stereo signal?

A: Hi Yong - the XS Wireless Digital system transmits a single channel of mono audio. The included 3.5mm connector has a "stereo" tip so that you will get the same mono signal on both your left and right inputs on your camera via your 3.5mm stereo input.

Q: 3. Can a system like this one be had for under $700 with a configuration of one TX and 2 (to 3) RX. It won't be used for a stadium but for an in-home event, within the restraints of a home's short distance. headphones will be purchased separately.

A: The Shure PSM 300 system will be over the budget, but we do have other systems from other manufacturers like the VocoPro IEM-Digital 4 Wireless Stereo In-Ear Monitoring System (B&H # VOIEMDIG4), the Galaxy Audio AS-950-4N 4-Pack Any Spot Series Wireless Personal Monitoring System - N Band, 518-542 MHz (B&H # GAAS9504N), the CAD GXLIEM4 Quad-Mix In-Ear Wireless Monitoring System - T: 902 to 928 MHz (B&H # CAGXLIEM4), the Nady PEM-04 Wireless 4-Person In-Ear Monitoring System - 903 to 928 MHz (B&H # NAPEM04), and the Xvive Audio U4R4 Wireless In-Ear Monitor System with Four Receivers - 2.4 GHz (B&H # XVU4R4), which are all systems for up to four users. For two users, we have the CAD GXLIEM2 Dual-Mix In-Ear Wireless Monitoring System - T: 902 to 928 MHz (B&H # CAGXLIEM2), the Xvive Audio U4R2 Wireless In-Ear Monitor System with Two Receivers - 2.4 GHz (B&H # XVU4R2), the Galaxy Audio AS-1100-2N Wireless In-Ear Twin Pack Monitor System - N: 518 to 542 MHz (B&H # GAAS11002N), and the Nady PEM-02 Wireless 2-Person In-Ear Monitoring System - 903 to 928 MHz (B&H # NAPEM02).

Q: 4. Can multiple receivers be used simultaneously to get the same signal?

A: Yes. An unlimited number of bodypack receivers can tune in to the transmission of one transmitter provided all units are of the same frequency band.

Q: 5. can you use this battery to charge a blackmagic Ursa mini 4k?

A: If your URSA Mini 4K has a v-mount plate, you could use this battery to power the camera.

Q: 6. Cuándo está disponible?

A: La fecha estimada de entrega más reciente que ha proporcionado Saramonic es el 23 de enero.

Q: 7. How do you charge the battery? Does it come with anything to charge it back up?

A: This is just the battery. It does not come with a charger. We do recommend a standard V-Mount charger like this one: https://bhpho.to/2MBrjNB

Q: 8. Can the rechargeable battery be replaced by the user?

A: No it cannot. Now if your reason for wanting to do so is to make sure you always have enough battery for a long gig, you can use the charging port to power the system while in use, either through a power supply or through a power-bank which is commonly used for Cell phones and etc.

Q: 9. could I use one transmitter with multiple receiver?, all on the same channelone director and 3 crew videographers

A: The transmitter unit will support an unlimited amount of receivers as long as they match the frequency of the transmitter. For this system, it would be the Shure P3R-H20. See B&H# SHP3RH20 or the P3RA-H20, B&H# SHP3RAH20

Q: 10. How many receivers can run off of one transmitter?

A: The answer is an unlimited number. Opposite the way we think about performance wireless systems (a 1:1 ratio of a single microphone being picked up by a single receiver), in personal monitoring what we are doing is broadcasting your desired monitoring mix to any number of people that need to to hear it. The scenario is similar to creating your own short-range radio station in which any number of individuals who want to listen in can do so by tuning in their own personal radio to the same station. Therefore, with PSM 300 (just as with any personal monitoring system) you can use an unlimited number of desired bodypack receivers with attached earphone to listen in to the same transmitter base unit.

[107 dB SPL] This is a great mic for saxophonists. I purchased it to replace the one that came with my original wireless system I bought in 2006 to tour with Anita Baker. I love it's sound and durability. I move a lot when I perform, and I had to replace it because the plastic housing broke after 8 years of me abusing it all over the country. Even thiough the clip broke, the mic kept on working. We duct taped it and I continued to use it in a few more local shows until my new one was shipped. Every now and then I run into a wireless frequency issue, but I bought the lower end system so I expect that from time to time. These are much better sounding and longer lasting than others I've owned in the past.

[Manual] My church has struggled with inconsistent signal strength from our current wireless microphones. This one just works. It scans for an ideal frequency, you pair it with the transmitter, and then it works. Not a single problem.

[1x Bodypack] I'm a sax player and this mic works great. The reproduction of clear sound quality is exactly what I need from a mic. The flexibility and mounting configurations make it a true joy to use. I would recommend it to my friends and buy another if needed.

[Mono] When used in conjunction with one of Shure's digital wireless systems this mic sounds pristine with trumpet and saxophone. I've tried many other horn mics before this and have come to the conclusion that this mic beats them all by a wide margin in terms of sound reproduction. BTW- this is the mic trumpeter Chris Botti uses in all his live performances.

[Analog UHF ] This a quality product that sounds great. I don't have a Shure wireless system and was hoping the mini XLR(TA4F) connector would fit my Carvin wireless belt pack. It did and I'm delighted...Also, the price was one of the best on the web. The only slight problem I'm working with right now is that the mic won't clip onto the bell of my clarinet. The clip isn't wide enough and doesn't open wide enough. However, I'm delighted to have this mic.

[1x Bodypack] This is a great mic for Horns or Drums. It's a quick install, so if you have a horn player with multiple instruments, they can easily change between them.

[Auto-Scan] We just purchased 8 of these wireless mics, and rack-mounted them. The set-up was easy and the sound quality was easily adjusted using the on-board gain. We are very happy with the purchase.

[12] As a drummer in nightclubs, I need to walk around the dance floor with a wireless mic on my drum.
This mic has been a perfect solution. It is tough, sounds great, and easy to hook up.
Very happy with my purchase.

[-41 dBV/Pa] I bought this clip on mic to use with my Tenor and Alto sax. I was originally using a beta 87 on a stand, so at first I was worried about considerable quality loss: not so! I even use it with the cheaper shure pgx wireless system and it sounds great! I am gonna have to buy another one soon to keep them ready on both saxes instead of switching....I should have bought this years ago.
