The SM35 condenser performance headset microphone is built for comfort and clear vocal reproduction. It features a cardioid polar pattern that helps reject signal bleed and feedback for use on stages and behind floor monitors. The flexible gooseneck design with discrete adjustment options lets you position the microphone for further source isolation in loud environments. A locking snap-fit windscreen tames plosives, breaths, and wind noise for clean and intelligible speech.

The durable BLX1 bodypack transmitter offers a lightweight, ergonomic design that is comfortable for the performer to wear. Group and channel selection buttons allow for quick and simple frequency matching with the receiver. Other features include an easily accessible on/off switch, adjustable gain control, and a TA4M 4-pin input jack.

The BLX4R receiver employs a microprocessor-controlled antenna diversity system to improve the quality and reliability of your wireless audio. The receiver can be rackmounted with the included hardware, allowing you to position the two removable antennas on the front of the rack for optimal signal reception.

The LCD display shows group and channel settings, and allows you to meter audio level and signal strength. An LED indicator even lets you keep an eye on the transmitter's remaining battery life. The unit offers 1/4" and XLR connectors with adjustable output level for flexible connectivity to PA systems and mixing boards.

Shure offers a variety of headset, instrument, and handheld microphone options to adapt your BLX system as your needs evolve.

  • The discrete WL185 lavalier mic provides exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • Instrumentalists can attach the WB98H/C flexible gooseneck instrument microphone for brass, woodwind, and percussion applications.
  • The WA302 guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.
  • The BLX2 handheld transmitter is available with three different mic capsules for presenters who prefer the flexibility of a handheld microphone.

[114 dB] I am using this mic for making voiceovers. It is a very nice mic. What I like the most-it doesn't catch much of the room's noise. In other words, it records well even in a poorly treated room.

[-16 to +10 dB] Good mid priced system. Never had any problems with it. Good range. You will appreciate the scanning feature. The BLX1 body pack is plastic. The BLXR is a rackmountable receiver that has a few more features that the regular one. Worth the extra money. SM35 headset is comfortable to wear once you adjust it. It does require a different mic technique that a handheld , but you will get used to it. Does not come with batteries or a case. It does come with rack mounting tray and hardware.

[Auto-Scan] I use it in my amateur radio station which is computer controlled. I was looking for an alternative to boom mics which block my view of the pc and keyboard. I'm not a fan of headsets as I prefer listening to studio monitor speakers. So after some searching I found these and am very happy with them so far. they are plugged into a Behringer sound card to my pc. Sound is good with a bit of equalizer adjustment and I can wear them for a few hours before I find them getting a bit uncomfortable. I simply take them off for a minute or so and am good to go for a few more hours. You will need phantom power to use these. Overall I do recommend them.

[>50 dB] Elecret Condenser Mic Lightweight, fits easiy around my head. I forget it's on soon after starting to perform. Very nice sound quality. It makes it easy to look around while singing and playing guitar. I found I could adjust the volume by quickly moving it closer or further from my mouth for harmony vs. lead vocals. I need to be aware of breathing into it, that makes quite a racket. It does include two wind screens which help. It does absolutely need phantom power to operate.

[12] I play 4 keyboards set up in an L shape, and I am the lead singer in our band (PSYKX CREAK - in case you were wondering :-)). Had a real problem with feedback every time I turned my head, with the mic that came with my original Shure wireless kit. I bought this mic/headset, and it not only is SO much better with avoiding feedback, but it also fits my head better and gives me better sound quality as well. Really worthwhile investment!
