The WL93 condenser microphone is built for low visibility and clear vocal reproduction in low-volume environments. The mic's omnidirectional polar pattern offers consistent pickup even when the talent turns away from the mic, while Commshield RF Filtering minimizes RF interference from nearby smartphones. The tailored frequency response features a controlled low-end roll-off and is optimized for speech intelligibility.

The durable BLX1 bodypack transmitter offers a lightweight, ergonomic design that is comfortable for the presenter to wear. Group and channel selection buttons allow for quick and simple frequency matching with the receiver. Other features include an easily accessible on/off switch, adjustable gain control, and a TA4M 4-pin input jack.

The BLX4R receiver employs a microprocessor-controlled antenna diversity feature to improve the quality and reliability of your wireless audio. The receiver can be rackmounted with the included hardware, allowing you to position the two removable antennas on the front of the rack for optimal signal reception.

The LCD display shows group and channel settings, and allows you to meter audio level and signal strength. An LED indicator even lets you keep an eye on the transmitter's remaining battery life. The unit offers 1/4" and XLR connectors with adjustable output level for flexible connectivity to PA systems and mixing boards.

Shure offers a variety of headset, instrument, and handheld microphone options to adapt your BLX system as your needs evolve.

  • The discrete MX153 sub-miniature earset mic provides exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • The PGA31 is a comfortable, durable headset microphone for active performance.
  • Instrumentalists can attach the WB98H/C flexible gooseneck instrument microphone for brass, woodwind, and percussion applications.
  • The WA302 guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.
  • The BLX2 handheld transmitter is available with three different mic capsules for presenters who prefer the flexibility of a handheld microphone.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do these have auto shut-off? If so, can it be disabled?

A: No auto shut off. I agree with Bob B.: always charge units before using. They don't seem to hold charge very well while in storage or non-use.

Q: 2. How well does it work with the iPhone camera app?

A: It works very well. I have used it to shoot a number of iPhone videos, both indoors and out and it has worked very well.

Q: 3. I was wondering how to use these microphones to record a meeting with my PC?

A: Analog 3.5mm input and output connectors can be switched between mic and line level operation, and also have the ability for both inputs and outputs to be mixed to a single channel. Connect to your PC's microphone inpuut.

Q: 4. I have been told that the Shure PSM 300 Twin-Pack is capable of being used as a wireless speaker system like the SENNHEISER Wireless Speaker System 5 which consists of 1 Transmitter and 2 Receivers. Please let me know if that is doable. I have always wondered if it will damage the speakers or not thanks?

A: Yes, essentially you could use the PSM 300 Twin-Pack as a Wireless Speaker System. They are NOT meant for this purpose, but if the proper cabling is used, proper gain staging, and you have proper line of sight this should cause no harm to the speakers.

Q: 5. Is this mic compatible with the DJI Mic 2 transmitters?

A: The Shure MOTIV MVL Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone for Smartphones has a TRRS connector for use with smartphones. It would not be compatible with a wireless transmitter such as the DJI Mic 2.

Q: 6. Would this work with a digital voice recorder? (i.e. Olympus WS-822?) Thanks!

A: No. It is compatible with mobile phones or tablets that offer a 1/8 TRRS Connector

Q: 7. Is this compatible with a Sony A7?

A: Should work fine with this and most other HDSLR cameras and most camcorders as well.

Q: 8. Can a system like this one be had for under $700 with a configuration of one TX and 2 (to 3) RX. It won't be used for a stadium but for an in-home event, within the restraints of a home's short distance. headphones will be purchased separately.

A: The Shure PSM 300 system will be over the budget, but we do have other systems from other manufacturers like the VocoPro IEM-Digital 4 Wireless Stereo In-Ear Monitoring System (B&H # VOIEMDIG4), the Galaxy Audio AS-950-4N 4-Pack Any Spot Series Wireless Personal Monitoring System - N Band, 518-542 MHz (B&H # GAAS9504N), the CAD GXLIEM4 Quad-Mix In-Ear Wireless Monitoring System - T: 902 to 928 MHz (B&H # CAGXLIEM4), the Nady PEM-04 Wireless 4-Person In-Ear Monitoring System - 903 to 928 MHz (B&H # NAPEM04), and the Xvive Audio U4R4 Wireless In-Ear Monitor System with Four Receivers - 2.4 GHz (B&H # XVU4R4), which are all systems for up to four users. For two users, we have the CAD GXLIEM2 Dual-Mix In-Ear Wireless Monitoring System - T: 902 to 928 MHz (B&H # CAGXLIEM2), the Xvive Audio U4R2 Wireless In-Ear Monitor System with Two Receivers - 2.4 GHz (B&H # XVU4R2), the Galaxy Audio AS-1100-2N Wireless In-Ear Twin Pack Monitor System - N: 518 to 542 MHz (B&H # GAAS11002N), and the Nady PEM-02 Wireless 2-Person In-Ear Monitoring System - 903 to 928 MHz (B&H # NAPEM02).

Q: 9. one mic is louder than the other. is there anyway to fix this?

A: Make sure that both microphones are connected to the mic input (not the line input) on each of the transmitters. Since the WMX-1-DUO system does not have individual level controls for each transmitter and people do tend to speak at different volume levels, try experimenting with placement of the microphones on each person wearing a mic. Try moving the mic closer to the mouth of the person whose volume is lower or move the mic further away from the mouth of the person whose volume is louder. If you find that there is still an usual difference between the output levels of each mic, please contact us for further assistance so we can do additional troubleshooting to determine whether there may be a problem with one of the mics or transmitters..

Q: 10. Can multiple receivers be used simultaneously to get the same signal?

A: Yes. An unlimited number of bodypack receivers can tune in to the transmission of one transmitter provided all units are of the same frequency band.

[Auto-Scan] Plug and play! Shure has us spoiled . . .

[1x Bodypack] We needed the dual channel receiver to be able to have simultaneous use of a lavalier and handheld mic, and it works well. The sound is clear and without static, and simple to set up after you have done it once. Our meeting group is about 100 persons once a month in a restaurant event room. The only problem we have is that the speaker box provided by the restaurant has one mic volume control for the same 2 inputs. When the volume is set properly for the lavalier mic, we have to decrease the volume slightly when the handheld mic is used (or ensure the speaker holds the mic about 8 inches from his mouth).

[12] We just purchased 8 of these wireless mics, and rack-mounted them. The set-up was easy and the sound quality was easily adjusted using the on-board gain. We are very happy with the purchase.

[Tabletop] We needed to replace our system that was in the FCC prohibited frequency. This was plug and play. We looked at other options, but stayed with the quality of Shure.

[76 dB ] We bought these to replace the old mic pack used by our senior pastor. We got two great sounding mics out of this purchase. Although we use different model headset mics rather than the lapels it comes with for the pastors, the lapels work just as well. We have used them for other guest speakers with no issues.

[-38 dBV/Pa] We've only used the microphone one time so far and it worked great. There was no feedback noise at all, sound was really good! Set up was very easy and I don't know anything about microphone systems. We are extremely happy with our new lav mic so far!
We work in a 3 story 130 year old brick building, where sometimes audio and wifi don't always work as it should. This microphone worked perfectly!
