The Beta 58A dynamic capsule features a neodymium magnet for greater sensitivity and higher output, as well as a tight supercardioid polar pattern that greatly minimizes background noise and feedback. The dent-resistant steel mesh grille resists wear and abuse. The built-in pop filter reduces undesirable wind and breath noise for clear and intelligible speech.

The durable BLX2 handheld transmitter offers a lightweight, ergonomic design and is comfortable to hold. Group and channel selection buttons allow for quick and simple frequency matching with the receiver. Other features include an easily accessible on/off button, adjustable gain control, and a black identification cap. The WA621 Color ID Caps kit containing assorted colored caps is available as an optional accessory.

The BLX4R receiver employs a microprocessor-controlled antenna diversity system to improve the quality and reliability of your wireless audio. The receiver can be rackmounted with the included hardware, allowing you to position the two removable antennas on the front of the rack for optimal signal reception.

The LCD display shows group and channel settings, and allows you to meter audio level and signal strength. An LED indicator even lets you keep an eye on the transmitter's remaining battery life. The unit offers 1/4" and XLR connectors with adjustable output level for flexible connectivity to PA systems and mixing boards.

Shure offers the BLX2 handheld transmitter with a variety of mic capsules to choose from.

The BLX1 bodypack transmitter accommodates a wide range of hands-free microphone options including lavalier, headset, instrument, and earset models to adapt your BLX system as your needs evolve:

  • The WL185 lavalier mic and discrete MX153 sub-miniature earset mic provide exceptional clarity in spoken word applications.
  • The PGA31 is a comfortable, durable headset microphone for active performance.
  • Instrumentalists can attach the WB98H/C flexible gooseneck instrument microphone for brass, woodwind, and percussion applications.
  • The WA302 guitar cable lets you connect to a guitar or bass.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. The go pro hero support USB C. Is your microphone powered by battery?

A: The wireless transmitter included with the LAVOKOL B1 Wireless Microphone System for USB Type-C Devices has a built-in rechargeable battery that lasts up to five hours and the wireless receiver has a USB Type-C port for charging pass through which allows it to draw power from the host device that it is connecting to.

Q: 2. No lavaliere mic included? That's unexpected.

A: Since the transmitters have built-in microphones, the SmallRig Forevala W60 2-Person Compact Wireless Microphone System does not include separate external microphones and the manufacturer makes it an option for the user, Similar wireless mic systems like the Rode Wireless GO II and DJI Mic Wireless Microphone Systems do not include separate external microphones either. Since the transmitters for these systems feature built-in microphones and many users only want to use the built-in mics, the manufacturers make it an option for the user to decide so if they prefer using an external mic, they can purchase the compatible microphones that they would like to use. This way, if the user prefers a headset or earset style mic instead of a lavalier, they can get the type of mic and the model for the mic that they like best.

Q: 3. The unit won't work with the supplied cable and an XLR adaptor the supplied cable into my camera XLR input, Is there a fix?

A: Please be sure that the receiver for the Saramonic Blink Me 2-Person Clip-On Wireless Microphone System is set to "mono" mode when using a single XLR adapter. For "stereo" mode, a 3.5mm to dual XLR Y-cable, like the Saramonic SR-UM10-CC1 3.5mm TRS to Two XLR Male Output Y-Cable for Wireless Mic Systems (B&H # SASRUM10CC1), should be used. Additionally, make sure the camera's input level is set for "mic" and the phantom power setting (48V) is turned off.

Q: 4. In the manual, it states that "if the receiver reaches its safe battery level it will stop charging the transmitters". Huh?

A: Unfortunately, there was an error in the wording of the user manual for the Saramonic Blink Me 2-Person Clip-On Wireless Microphone System. Instead of stating "if the receiver reaches its safe battery level it will stop charging the transmitters," it should say "it will start charging the transmitters." Saramonic has been made aware of the error and apologizes for any confusion it has caused.

Q: 5. Does it record each channel separately?

A: Yes. The Saramonic Blink Me 2-Person Clip-On Wireless Microphone System does have a built-in recording feature on the transmitters, allowing them to record audio from each mic directly onto the transmitter's internal memory. Additionally, the receiver has 3 output settings: Mono, allowing you to record the mics mixed; Stereo, separating the mics to the left and right outputs; or Safety Mono, mixing the mics with a full signal on the left and a -6 dB safety track on the right. So you can record audio with the two mics separated onto different channels when using the Stereo output setting.

Q: 6. Can a multiple systems be added for a total of four users or more?

A: The Saramonic Blink Me 2-Person Clip-On Wireless Microphone System with Touchscreens & Recording (B&H # SABLINKMEB2) will offer the best performance and reliability when no more than two systems (four users total) are used simultaneously in a closed space.

Q: 7. Do the transmitters have on/off switches to allow presenter to mute themselves?

A: The transmitters included with the Pyle Pro PDWM2958B 2-Person Wireless Combo Microphone System do not have mute controls.

Q: 8. I lost one of the microphones, do you sell just one microphone as a replacement piece?

A: No, the transmitters for the SmallRig Forevala W60 2-Person Compact Wireless Microphone System are not available to purchase individually through retailers, but you may be able to get a replacement directly from the manufacturer.

Q: 9. are speakers included?

A: No, they are not. You will need speakers and an amplifier for your conference microphone system to operate properly. I have had the microphones for over a year now, and they work very well.Jerry Robinson

Q: 10. Can this be used with smartphones?

A: Technically you can, however you will need the appropriate adapter(s) for your phone. Please give us a call at 800-606-6969 and a Pro Audio specialist will be happy to assist.

[-51 dBV/Pa] When needed, the volume from the Shure mic could be increased with less of a feed back problem from the wedge speaker above the stag and forward of the mic stand. And the audience heard a natural voice sound.

[Battery] Always a great choice for vocals, this mic was purchased for just that. We used it last week for a live performance with our female singer, and it sounded nice and lively with her voice.
The fact that ~$40 worth of extras was included for only $10 more was the icing on the cake. The stand feels solid and will hold up well I think. The included mic cable is being kept as a spare, but with Neutrik connectors I dont forsee any issues in the future.

[Auto-Scan] I've been bringing THREE of this same system out to various venues at least once a week for a few years, and they always performed flawlessly for both speaking and singing. Now I've bought TWO more for permanent use at our local church and they work and sound GREAT for speaking and singing there, too! Crystal clear, no static, no interference - perfect, excellent, GREAT!!!

[Analog UHF ] I vacillated over which mic I should buy to pair up with my acoustic guitar and my Fender Acoustic Junior amp. This turned out to be ideal.

[Battery] Shure 58A Beta doesn't need any recommendations. It's probably the best vocal microphone for live performance.

BHP delivered this product fast and with no issues during these crazy before Christmas days.

[Analog UHF ] First unit arrived DOA but B&H send me a new one super fast (thanks B&H). Great sound quality and great RF performance in a noisy spectrum. I love the sync feature and encryption. The only cons: the battery compartment is very delicate and you have to be very careful not to brake the small door.

[123] It is easy to set up, it's use for a large church, good sound as expected. I purchased Panasonic AA rechargeable batteries with it, everything went as planned. Very happy how both products work.

[Handheld] Our church bought a large batch of these to replace our ULX systems that were in an outdated frequency band. We liked our ULX and had them for years, but these are a definite step up.
The mic body is made of metal and feels very solid. The power switch is sturdy too, and gives a tactile click so you can be sure you turned it on without having to look.
The range seems very good. We use these at a distance of 60-70 feet, and the signal is very strong using just the antennas that come with the unit.
One thing these do way better than the ULX is battery life. These use AAs (compared to 9V for the ULX), and we get around 10 hours of battery life out of them (compared to about 3 with the ULX). We use NiMH rechargeables, and they work just fine.
These QLXDs will be our go-to in the future for sure.
