Ideal for optics of all kinds, plus DSLRs and video cameras, the Carson TriForce TF-300 Tripod Pan Headprovides a highly portable yet stable platform for observation, photography, or digiscoping. With a payload capacity of 6.6 pounds, but with a maximum height of 63 inches, the tripod comes with a 3-way pan/tilt head that rotates a full 360°, and tilts through a broad 165° range with a lock to secure it in the perfect position. The included quick-release plate makes setup and breakdown fast and easy.

For proper leveling, the tripod comes with two bulls-eye bubble levels, and each of the leg's three section are independently adjustable with easy snap locks for setting the height correctly. If you require more height, the center column extends with a geared elevator for smooth and precise movement. A hook on the bottom of the column holds bags and packs to keep them off the ground, or to intentionally add weight to reduce vibrations or add stability. Pivoting non-slip rubber feet on each leg ensure secure footing on most surfaces.

Whether you are birdwatching, hunting, photographing, or digiscoping, Carson's TriForce tripod is a great companion for your binocular, spotting scope, monocular, or camera.

Q: 10. Magnus VT300 says it will support 15lbs. I have a VT4000 that is much sturdier and it says it supports up to 8.8lbs. What is the difference?

A: According to the makers of the tripods: The difference is the counterbalance on the VT-4000, vs failure weight on the VT-300.So the VT-4000 will counterbalance a camera load of 8.8 lbs without assistance. The VT-300 has no such spring, but will securely hold 15lbs in position with the locks engaged without any slipping.

[6.6 lb / 3.0 kg] Build quality is good. I initially chose 4 stars, but to be perfectly honest the only issue I had was of my own making. This tripod is not built to support a D7200 + macro rail + large 300mm lens. It did, but precariously, so take care if you're using heavier gear. Solid product, just heed the weight in the products description as it will likely get tippy with heavier. Still, no regret purchase. This will get lots of use, with a lighter setup of course :)

[3] I can’t believe how quick and easy it is to use the Celestron Trailseeker Tripod. Birding requires a lot of adjustments in height of the tripod, and this one is so easy to use. In addition, the fluid pan head is quick and allows you to easily get that elusive bird in view. So happy I bought this, well actually it’s a Christmas present from my husband, but I opened it early!
